This fic is totally just for fun. And how far it goes is based completely on feedback. Give me your two cents on interesting, weird, or fun things for our duo to have to look for. I will wright a chapter around finding that object. Things like "A picture with an unconscious member of the purple dragons" or "A dollar signed by a stripper" are completely acceptable. So thank you for your feedback and please enjoy.
Scavenger Hunt
Chapter 1
Raph didn't like it, and thus he didn't like her.
Never mind that she had saved splinter's tail when he had been cornered and outnumbered by a group of purple dragons. Or that he had been shot and, honestly, wouldn't have made it home had she not rushed in to the ally yelling that the as the police, causing the purple dragons to scatter, and then, after a momentary freak out about the giant talking rat, had carried splinter back to the layer. Which was all well and good. And truly, Raph was grateful. But why the hell was Splinter training her? Did he really feel that indebted to her? She wasn't family, nor was had she proven herself an ally as April and Casey had. What he really didn't understand is why he was the only one who seemed to have a problem with it.
So now he stood at the entrance of the dojo arms crossed and glairing as Splinter walked her through a kata, which she was picking up better than Raph would like to admit.
Splinter brought the session to a close.
After bowing to her sensei she turned to walk out of the dojo. Her smile fading the moment she saw him. "Raphael." She stated his name distastefully as if it sat like vinegar in her mouth.
"Raven." He spat out with just as much animosity.
She spared him nothing else as she walked by hotly. Shoulders back, ample bust pushed out, her hips swaying showing off her firm rounded backside as she strode away. Her long black hair bouncing in its pony tail.
Raph could almost consider her hot if she wasn't such a stubborn pain in the ass on top of everything else.
He probably should have just stood there till he remembered what he had wanted to talk to Splinter about but, damn it, he just had to knock that attitude down a notch or two. So, he followed her to the kitchen.
"Still pretending to be a ninja?" Raph asked sarcastically as he leaned against the counter.
"Are you?" Raven shot back as she filled a glass with water then took a drink, eyeing him over the rim.
"Oh, I am far from pretending sweet heart." He gave her a smug smirk.
"Hmm." She hummed. "That's funny. Cause last time I saw you do anything ninjaesk you looked a little washed up to me."
Raph raised an eye ridge. "Me? Washed up?" He chuckled. "I ain't washed up."
Suddenly Raph had the cold contents of Raven's glass splashed in his face, causing him to take in a surprised gasp.
"Then why are you all wet?" She snapped. Raven knew she shouldn't antagonize the bear of a turtle, but, Damn it, he was always so surly. She couldn't help it!
Raph looked at her, mouth agape in shock. "You bitch." He growled before lunging at her. He wouldn't hurt, not for real. But he sure as hell planned on making her think he was.
Raven dodged and would have brought her knee up to his gut, which would have been blocked, but Splinter stopped the fight before it could really begin.
"Enough!" Splinter got the attention of both squabblers. "You two are going to learn to get along. Meditation, now."
Both grumbled shoving each other as they made their way to the dojo.
They ended up cross legged against opposite walls glaring at each other for a good hour before Splinter came in and had them kneel before him.
"This is what I have decided. Tonight the others and I are going to go to April's while the two of you learn to work together." Splinter handed each of them a piece of paper. The first half of each item on a list was on Raven's paper. The second half of each listed item was on Raph's paper. "You are going on a scavenger hunt."
"A scavenger hunt?" Raph griped. "Sensei this is stupid."
"You will retrieve each item by working together." Splinter continued ignoring Raph's groan of displeasure. "And you will have every item here by morning. Nothing may be retrieved from the layer. If you fail or cheat you will both be spending time in the hoshi till you have learned to get along. Understood?"
Raven nodded.
Raphael grumbled.
