An idea from the song in Black Butler...
There once was a large city that was built on a tall hill. This city was full of little shops and large buildings and old factories filling the city's sky with black smoke. Many people lived in that city and moved in and out trading and selling goods for money and small trinkets.
On the northern side of the city was a tall dark castle. Its spires reached the heavens and cut through the sky. It was like dark black claws ever trying to pluck the sun from the skies. This castle had been abandoned a long time ago when the thoughts of kings, queens, and lords had been taken for foolishness and child's play.
The castle was all but empty. For it was the fortress to a large army of bats, rats, and spiders, but among these things was a crow. He was black and glossy. His eyes held a manner of Death about him. He was large and strong looking. His beak and eyes shone like glass in the dim light and his feathers had a soft look to them, but they were hard like iron. He was a statue of sorts.
It happened on day, that a young boy from the town walked by the castle. He was small and thin. He wore a patch over on blue eye and his short black hair hung over his face. His skin was pale and his clothes old. He was a poor boy and a poor sight to see. He looked upon the castle with wonder and curiosity. His thin legs leading him closer to the door without him knowing.
The stood at the base of two tall iron and wood doors. They were covered in thick chains and held a foreboding nature about them. The castle was entirely black and had a strange mist at its feet. The wind blew around the many corners and through the many windows, screaming and whispering boldly into the boy's small ears. The wind kept blowing issuing smaller whispers, but strangely the trees nearby didn't move at all.
The young boy put a small hand on the mighty doors and was welcomed with and ancient creak of metal and wood. A scuttle of black spiders ran about the boy's feet as he entered the castle. He held his breath as cold damp air pricked the hair on his neck. The whispers grew louder and the wind seemed to shake the castle's foundation, but the boy continued into the enticing darkness of the castle.
Small patches of dim light could be seen on the floor and the walls of the hall as the boy walked. Large paintings hung on the wall. They were painted in a strange manner. The paint was all splattered and dripped on the canvas. It was a dark color and the background was a dark black, but a small pale blur could be seen faintly in the back. It was like a face frozen in horror and fear. As if it had died seeing Hell's hounds break loose.
The boy continued to walk down the hall and wandered from room to room. He came upon the castle's dusty museum. It was full of various armor displays and stuffed animals baring their teeth at the wind. It was then, the boy spotted the dark crow. For a brief moment the boy's eyes looked the right behind the crow. There was a small blank canvas showing its pale white face, but the boy turned back to the crow. He was amazed and entranced by its beauty and wonder. The wings seemed to glitter in the light and the eyes flash brightly in the dim light coming from the small windows high above the displays. The boy started to walk towards the crow, reaching his arm out to touch it.
Unknown to the boy, the whispers began to get louder and the wind more fierce. The mist came in through the windows and crept along the floor towards the small boy. Dark tendrils reached out to grab the legs of the boy as he was just about to touch the crow, but then his hand froze. The mist and the wind stopped and all was silent. The boy's hand suddenly jerked back, but soon fell limp at the boy's side. A small sigh escaped his lips and he was no more. The empty canvas at his side, now full of new wet paint.
Glimmering in the light the splattered pain dripped and glistened. It was similarly splattered like all the others, and the pale face was there too. A small little pale face twisted in a figure of horror and fear. The face of a small boy that is no more, and the Dark Crow smiled.
done! :)
I might add another chapter to this, but I'm not sure yet.
