To Reach The Top
Prolouge
Part I
Cold
A monotonus line of white.
He opened his eyes. Tried to focus. Saw nothing.
Nothing but the line, the line that went forever, cold and white, cold and white.
So he took the first step. No problem.
But the cold.
The biting cold!
Took another step.
And another.
Cold!
Slipped on the ice.
Tripped on his own feet.
Stuck out a hand and fell.
Hard.
Eyes wide, pupils small, blood trickling, blood flowing.
The monotonus line.
Cold and white, cold and white.
The things he would do.
Grabbed a rock with his other hand.
Pulled himself up with the bloody one.
Pain!
Blinding pain!
Stood on his feet again.
Slipped.
Fell again.
His elbow.
Bloody crimson.
The things he would do.
The monotonus line.
Cold and white, cold and white.
Part II
Step
Up on his feet again.
Climbing.
Weight pulling him down.
Weight he couldn't see.
He couldn't grasp.
He couldn't hear.
But he could feel.
Eyes wide.
Pupils small.
Climbing up.
The things he would do.
'Things end'
They say.
He'll end
They say.
He'll say
'I don't care'
Eyes shut in pain.
Not for his own good
They say.
Will he do it?
Will he do it?
The things he will do.
But he cant.
Struggling to the top.
Cant reach.
Cant quite.
Pulling him down.
Blinding him.
Last step.
He takes it.
Part III
They Say
On the top.
Looking down.
Smiling down.
Finally there.
Surge of pain.
He falls.
And the shadow comes.
Like they say
Like they say
And he had his sword
Like they say
And he gave up
Or so they say
Let his sword fall
So they say
Kneeled willingly
So they say
Let the blow his him on the back
Eyes wide
Pupils small
Flipped over
Writhed in pain
So they say
And closed his eyes
So they say
Never opened again
They say
Part IV
Red
Climbing
Falling
Crimson patterned
In the cold
Like they say
Taking steps
Moving on
The things he'll do
To reach the top
Like they said
He didn't listen
So he saved the world
Condemned the people
So they say
Empty stares
The shadow brings
So they say
Monotonus line
Where he fell
Monotonus line
Cold and red, cold and red
