"Whoo hoo, summer vacation's finally here! It's going to be one of our best ones yet!" Miyuki Tanaka laughed alongside her best friend and held onto her briefcase as four classmates walked briskly towards the school doors. This was it. The last day of school was closing to an end as soon as they stepped through those doors.

"All depends on what we have planned, Miyuki-chan." The girl who spoke and slung an arm around Miyuki's shoulders was Kumi Kasshoku, Miyuki's best friend. The two of them were connected by birth, experiencing everything from potty training to the transition of schools all through their lives. They were practically sisters if it wasn't for Kumi's short and choppy brown locks and emerald eyes.

"Don't know about you guys, but I plan on hitting the beach and working on my soccer skills." A soccer ball was dribbled in the air by the blonde standing next to Miyuki, her baby blue eyes watching the orb rise then fall over and over again. Ayame Sakka, captain of the girl's varsity soccer team and tallest female she knew, standing at 5'9.

"You always were one to work up a sweat. I'll be visiting the beach as well, but for a totally different reason! I don't know about you guys, but I do plan on finding a boyfriend this summer." The bursting ball of energy looked up from her page to give the other three a small smile. "I'll still come and hang out with you guys." Michiko Kareshi, the Energizer Bunny although her appearance gave her off as odd or dark with her charcoal hair and her strange yet mysterious amber eyes. She was always screaming about something excitedly, but it was still kinda cute.

"Boyfriend? You don't need a boyfriend. You have us." Miyuki Tanaka, the quiet one. The nerd. She was a mix between Ayame and Michiko with her long charcoal locks and cerulean orbs. She was president of the manga club and an avid member of the community service group that visited the school often. Even if she was involved in so much, people would mistake her as an elementary schooler due to her sad height of 5'0.

The four of them stood by the school's entrance, mulling over summer plans. It seemed everyone had something to do except for Miyuki. Kumi looked over at the midget before nudging her. "Hey, what do you have planned this summer?"

She didn't have anything planned, did she? Closing her eyes and going to the deep crevices of her mind, she sighed defeatedly and shook her head. "I have no clue. I don't think I have anything planned this summer." Three whole months of sun, freedom, and boys and she didn't know what to do. Speaking of boys, however...

Kumi had taken a glance outside before letting out a gasp and nearly pressing her face against the window. "You guys.. The Elite Four is standing by our ride." At that, all four girls pressed their faces into the window, squeals and laughs bubbling up when they confirmed that the Elite Four was indeed standing by Ayame's little black car.

Miyuki immediately paled and began to panic. She never was good with boys. "You guys, what are we going to do? You guys know I'm not good with boys!" They all looked at each other with pity for their short friend then sighed.

"I don't know about you girls, but I'm going out there. Who knows? Maybe my wish of getting a boyfriend will come sooner than I thought." Michiko stepped out of the building and walked to Ayame's car, a flirty smile on her face as she walked over to the guys cheerily.

Ayame nibbled on her lip before hopping off the windowsill and heading outside. "I have to make sure she doesn't destroy my car while she's out there flirting. You guys know I just got it." Sending her worried blue-eyed friend an apologetic smile, she walked over to her car while scolding Michiko for leaning on it so casually.

Miyuki and Kumi watched from the outside before letting out a sigh. "Well, I guess we're waiting until they're finished talking- Hey! Kumi!" Miyuki turned to see her best friend slowly shifting to the door.

"Oh, come on! That's the Elite Four! Besides, I have boy troubles too. I'm just fighting my fear. You should do the same." When Miyuki refused to budge, she sighed then opened the door. "Well, we'll wait on you, okay? I love you, best friend!" Sending her an apologetic smile as well, she darted out towards the car.

It wasn't fair. How could her best friends leave her alone like that? They knew when it came to guys, she got all flustered and started stuttering all over the place. It was truly embarrassing. Then again, she did need a confidence boost and if hanging out with the coolest guys in school could help, she was all for it. Taking in a deep breath, she quietly slipped through the doors and walked over to Ayame's car.

Kumi brightened up once she saw her best friend inching closer to the car and ran over to her, engulfing her in a hug. "Hitomi, there you are! I thought you were going to stay in there forever!" She pushed the shy girl towards the four awaiting boys before doing a dramatic sweep. "Without further ado, meet the Elite Four!"

She smiled shyly and looked down at her shoes while trying to maintain the color of her cheeks. "H-Hello, I'm M-Miyuki Tanaka.. I-It's nice to meet you.." She looked up and, to her relief, saw almost everyone smiling at the rather cute introduction.

The four males began introducing themselves to Miyuki since everyone else was already acquainted. "My name is Makoto Tachibana. Nice to meet you, Hitomi-chan." He had beautiful hazelnut hair with emerald eyes that sparkled. Literally sparkled. He was like an angel or something. Miyuki was so astonished by his radiant personality and looks that she nearly shielded her face from all the kindness.

She suddenly felt an arm wrap around her slim waist and sharp teeth nip at her ear. She immediately jumped behind Makoto while her cheeks darken to a crimson red. "Sorry, beautiful. I couldn't resist your beauty~ I'm Rin Matsuoka. THE Rin Matsuoka." Never heard of him before in her life. She pouted at the cocky-headed red-heard with matching eyes before nodding slowly.

"Ummm, h-hi.." She made a mental note to never be alone with this creep.

Once the coast was clear of pervertedness, Miyuki slowly stepped away from Makoto. "Oh, my god! She's adorable!" She turned around and stared at the blonde who pinched her cheeks softly but hard enough to make her whine and darken even further than earlier. "Aww, she's turning red! My name is Nagisa Hazuki! Nice to meet you, cutie!" He gave her a tight hug and her blush skyrocketed to outer space. Touchy feely, huh?

"N-Nice to meet you, Nagisa-kun! C-Can you let me go..?" His dark pink eyes stared at her face once more before letting go, twirling a lock of hair on his finger absentmindedly. "Umm, th-there's three of you.. Where's number four?" All of the guys turned behind them to reveal a black-haired male, smoking on the driver's door.

"There's your number four. That's Haruka Nanase. He's not much of a talker." Even though Nagisa was speaking to her, cerulean and cobalt clashed and she suddenly felt herself diving into those ocean blue eyes, drowning eternally. The world disappeared around them and they stood there, staring at each other as if trying to speak with our eyes. After a while, he dropped and crushed the cigarette with his shoe before walking over to her, everyone else letting them have their space for some odd reason.

He stopped directly in front of her and let his gaze drag along her body. "Miyuki, right?" His only response was a slow nod. He looked her over two more times before shifting closer and whispering in her ear. "You ARE pretty adorable. Your friend Kumi over there is a bit cuter than you, but you got some innocent to you with this shy act you're pulling."

Her face turned red with anger. She practically looked like a cherry lollipop. 'Act? What act? I'm naturally this shy! H-He's the one pulling the act! Smoking and behaving like a bad boy.. Hmph! He's just a big faker!' Of course she knows she would never voice such harsh opinions aloud to his face. "Th-Thank you for the compliment.. H-Haruka-san.."

A devilish smirk crept upon his face and she took the opportunity to run and hide behind Makoto, who was glaring at Haruka. The tension in the air rose as the two had a glaring war, but dissipated once Haruka clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes. Makoto smiled at particularly nothing, feeling victorious. Haruka never did stand a chance against him when they glared at each other.

"We should get going! It's getting late and someone," four fingers jabbed at Miyuki, "doesn't wanna miss the new episode of Fairy Tail or she'll get cranky." Kumi laughed as she dodged a punch from her best friend.

Her face turned a bright red from embarrassment and she pouted, immediately wanting to hide from the world. The coolest guys in school didn't need to know about her love for anime. "Fairy Tail is an awesome show, so fuck off, Kumi!" Everyone laughed at her vulgar language and she soon joined in.

After everyone talked a bit, they all walked to their designated cars. Miyuki opened the door to the back seat, but felt the door getting slammed back shut by a pale and strong hand.

"Miyuki~ I'll be seeing you around a lot more than you think.." She shivered from Haruka's breath brushing against her neck and slowly turned, regretting it immediately. His scent, tainted with the smell of cigarettes and chlorine, brushed and warmed her entire face. His bony long fingers played with her tresses while his being overwhelmed her.

She thought she would pass out at that point. "I-I have to go, Haruka-san.." He leaned in a bit more until his lips brushed against her own and his arm slid around her waist, his hand resting in her pocket. She felt his hand move around in her pocket before it ceased. His hand in her hair froze before the hand in her pocket began to move once more. Once it stopped, he pulled away and turned towards Rin's car.

"Before you go, look through your phone. You'll find a pleasant surprise waiting for you~" Someone cleared their throat and the two of them looked up to see Makoto frowning at Haruka.

"Haru. Let's go." His tone was so dark, it gave her shivers. She never wanted to hear that tone on such an angelic face ever again. That was her cue to leave. She scrambled into the car and scrambled for her phone as Ayame drove off, the guys leaving some time after the girls.

Kumi turned in her seat up front and leaned over to catch her best friend's face completely velvet. "Sooo, spill it, sister. What did bad boy Haru do to make your face so red?" She joked as Miyuki stared at her phone as if it were the devil itself.

"He gave me his cell phone number." In her contacts, his name was staring back at her surprised and flushed face. His contact picture was one of him winking and smirking at the camera while he was cuddled up to her. That's why he kept moving so much. That sneaky bastard.

Mouths dropped. "Oh."
Eyes wide open. "Em."
Squeals filled the car. "Gee. He's into you!"

She stared at Kumi and sighed softly, shrugging before looking back at her cell phone. She didn't want to believe them, but why did he give her the most attention? He even said Kumi was cuter, so why her? Even Rin didn't go that far. Makoto looked so cold and hard towards Haru flirting but sweet and warm to her.

"Speaking of Haru, what was up with Big Brother Makoto? He looked all serious when it came to Haruka practically throwing himself at you." Michiko mumbled while playing Candy Crush on her phone. She let out a whimper of disappointment when she lost a life on level 23. Again.

Miyuki shrugged then looked off, gazing outside the window while her heart pounded against her chest. 'What's with the end of the day? Why, on the last day of school, must guys flirt with me when they barely passed a glance at me whenever I was alone? Sure, I'd get a smile or a wink, but only if I'm with Kumi.'

She was the first girl to be dropped off right down the street from school. She gave her friends a smile and wave before walking to her home. "I'll log on tonight!" She gave them one final wave before she bolted into her empty house, slamming the door and sliding down it onto her butt. She let off a small soft sigh before resting her face in her hands. 'Haruka likes me.. But, Makoto thinks it's a bad idea. Plus, I now have his number in my phone. I could always delete it. What should I do..?'
