Already Gone

Fighting back tears, Hermione began to write.
Dear Ronald,
We started with a perfect kiss, but we felt the poison set in soon after. I didn't want us to burn out. We can't make this feel right, when we know it's wrong. We don't have much in common, you know it, even if you won't admit it. We were always meant to say goodbye. It doesn't matter where we take this road, someone's gotta go. You couldn't have loved me better, but I want you to move on. I have. I'm sorry. I'm already gone.
Hermione.
Sniffling a bit, Hermione sealed the scroll and lay it on the kitchen table. She then turned to see her lover standing behind her. "Oh, Severus, I'm sorry." She blurted, lowering her head to hide her tears.
"I understand, Hermione. You had been with him for years. It was bound to be hard." He put a finger under her chin and raised her head to look at him. "You love me don't you?" He asked her.
"Yes Severus, I love you." She told him.
"That's all that matters to me." He answered her as he put his arms around her. She sobbed into his chest for a few minutes while he rubbed her back. Soon, she dried her tears and looked up at Severus.
"Let's go, we don't want to be late." She told him, smiling.
"Yes love, lets go begin our lives together. Hand in hand they walked to the door, neither one looked back.
AN: A very short little one shot. Not my best work. I wrote it in about 1/2 an hour. I just couldn't get the song out of my head. I think it fits perfectly with Ron and Hermione. They just don't make a good couple in my opinion. Anywho, review!
