Giving Love a Chance
Author's Note: this is my first fan fiction, so it is not going to be very good, but thanks for reading it anyways!
This story takes place one week after the incident with Prince Saffron
Akane Tendo was alone in her room, contemplating the events of the past week. Her thoughts were turning angrier and angrier as she remembered all of the things that Ranma had done to her in the past."Why did Ranma have to give up on me? After he said those things while I was a doll, how can he be so cold? He certainly enjoys hanging around Ukyo and Shampoo, so why does he treat me like dirt? He's even nice to Kasumi and Nabiki! Why am I the only person that gets the raw end of Ranma?", she wondered. "Even HAPPOSAI treats me like I'm a human being!," she thought.
Just then, someone knoked on her door. "Who is it?", she called. "Akane, it's Ranma, I need to talk to you. Now," came the somewhat angry reply. "What could that jerk want? What if he wants to apologize? Even if he did, I promise that I will never forgive him! Oh who am I kidding? I love him. Even if I don't want anything to do with that asshole, I can't deny the fact that I love him with all my heart", Akane thought to herself. "Akane! Can I come in or what?", Ranma yelled through the door. "Oh! Yeah, come in or whatever," she quickly called back. "Why is she being so abrasive? I hate when she gets like this. When did she get such a hold on me? Why do I have to love her so much?" Ranma thought as he slowly opened the door.
When Ranma entered her bedroom, Akane's heart skipped a beat. She knew she needed to tell him how she really felt. "But how? I can't just say it! I need to be more direct, and I also need to proove my feelings. I know what I'll do, I'll kiss him. I will kiss him, and moove on from there", Akane planned, "I can do this. If he really does hate me, hopefully he'll tell me then. Mabey after, he'll stop being so ambiguous about his feelings. Mabey he'll open up." Little did she know, Ranma was planning the same thing.
Ranma's mind was reeling. All he felt right now was regret. Regret for the way he treated Akane, the horrible names he called her, and for never admitting his love for her. "What can I do to make up for all of this? If I told her she would never believe me. I need to proove that I'm serious about this. I'll kiss her. I'll look into her beautiful eyes, and press my lips against hers. Then she'll know", he plotted.
When Ranma finally stood beside Akane, she stood up, and looked him in the eye. Slowly, they both closed their eyes, and inched towards each other. Once their lips met and both were surprised when the other didn't pull away. "This is it. This is what it feels like to kiss someone that you love", thought Ranma and Akane. Soon they were Ranma was holding Akane, and they were kissing with a burning passion. When they finally broke apart, Ranma whispered "I love you" into Akane's ear. "Yes! This all feels so right", she thought, " Mabey this can work. Mabey Ranma and I will be together. Mabey"
