Pen and Ink

Emmett Pov

"Mike I won't let you get away with this," I said. His hands were tight around my shoulders. I could have gotten away easily but the soft scribbles of a pen in the distance distracted me. It was too late she was already controlling me. Her words were like a soft melody that gently flowed like a river of poems. Her pen of a radiant blue feather that made the veins bulge from my neck each time she scratched the paper to write a word. I was over thrown but by a small child-like girl whose only fear in life was to fear the ones to take her precious pen. Her words were of a simple request but when I heard them it was too late.

Dear Emmett,

Her words lingered in my presence. I could almost smell her white rose perfume and see her bright dandelion hair. But the pound of mikes thrust to my stomach was obstructing my vision of her neon sapphire eyes that were even more radiant in the sun light. But the problem she never went in the sunlight she was always in the shady corner of her study writing the requests of the pen and letting it scratch and scramble every word from perfect nonsense into complete understanding.

Don't Let

The window of the room slid open as me and mike were at the other end of the room. I could see her she pushed the window open for me for my success and I punched my way over there just to see her in her aqua blue gown that flowed in the wind when she opened the window. She was bare footed like always and had a white bow in her hair to match her dress. Mike resisted so I slammed him against the China cabinet. About everything in there broke. When I looked back to the window she wasn't there. Just the scrawling of words on a page tacked to the window frame.

Mike

I tried to read them but I could only make out the one. Why was I fighting Michael? He was my best friend and after all this was just over a girl. One beautiful girl that made my world turn and his life complete made us two enemies. Why would I take her away from him? Why? Why would I risk losing a friend so dear to my heart? But at that moment the last two words were clear.

Kill you,

Mike threw me out the window into an ibis of passing cars and asphalt. As I dropped I felt the last words engrave my heart. I saw her look out her window in from the twenty-second floor of the apartment complex only ten below ours.

With love, Rosalie

After she wrote those last words she took the pen and stabbed herself in the stomach with it.
