The Rise of Ruby: 1: Newcomer
Steven was with Amethyst, and they were watching their fixed T.V. after Steven broke it with his shield. Pearl was In the Temple and so was Garnet. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "I'll get it!" Said Steven as he ran to the door. He opens it to find a teenager who is a little taller than him and not as chubby. He has dark brown hair and dark red eyes. He is wearing a black and red hoodie with jeans and black shoes.
"Uh, hi." The Stranger says. "Hi there! Who are you?" Steven asks. "Umm, the name is Tyler, is this where the gems live?" Tyler asks. Steven looks at him curiously. "Hey Steven! Who is there." Says Amethyst as she runs next to Steven. Tyler looks at her Gem. "So the gems do live here!" Tyler shouts happily. "Ya. What about it?" Amethyst asked. Tyler then turns around and pulls his hoodie down a bit and shows a Ruby in the back of his neck. Amethyst and Steven stare at it in wonder and then grab him and pull him in.
Tyler was sitting in a chair as Pearl and Garnet were looking at his gem. Tyler had his hoodie off and had a black shirt. "So how did you find us?" Pearl asked. Tyler smiles a bit. "Well, I've always been moving around," Tyler says, "Recently came into town. Went by a convenient store and some person shouted at me, 'Not another one!' As he saw my gem. I assumed there were others and began searching. Eventually I found someone who knew and they pointed me here where I found you guys."
Pearl nodded. "And where are your parents?" She asks him. He then looks down. "Don't have any. Or a last name. Just go by Tyler Ruby." This made everyone look down a bit and become a little sad. "Well you're in our family now!" Steven shouted happily. "Really?" Tyler asked. "Of Course Tyler. You're one of us. Like Steven." Amethyst said. Garnet and Pearl nod in agreement. "Hey! Want to see my Cheeseburger backpack?!" Steven asks Tyler. He smiles. "That sounds awesome!" Tyler shouted as he followed Steven to his 'room'. "Is this going to be like having another Steven?" Pearl asked. "I'm not entirely sure." Garnet said as she sighed.
