Is it the sky today

The way that the wind's pushing the clouds?

Or is it the late-day sun

Stretching the shadows over the ground

That brings on these memories

Of people and places I've never seen

And voices so strange and so sweet

Asking me softly

Where is my home?

Ryo of the Wildfire paused in his jog.  He had defeated Talpa some six years ago, and while the others had moved out he had stayed with Mia.  At the time it had not been from love, it was simply the fact he didn't have anywhere to go.

Now however he could sense their relationship was getting tense.  He had decided to move out and Mia wasn't taking it that well.  At the time he didn't se why she was so upset, but as time passed he began to realize why.

What makes this person me?

Is it the little town where I was born?

Or maybe it's history, the faces of family

I've never known

Somewhere across the sea

Where my great-grandmother left long ago

Under a cold, crying moon

Looking for something

Where is my home?

Memories of his past came to mind.  Sketches of his family floated to the surface of his mind and he tried to grasp them before they left, but once again they faded to the nothingness from which they had come.  As much as he tried to remember his family the only thing he could remember was being raised by White Blaze.  Then Mia, always Mia.  After she knew him she had always been there when anyone needed her, especially him, and he had grown to admire her.

But was it really just admiration?

Where is my home?

The walls of a city

Painted with promises

And words so unkind

Where is my home?

The trees of a country

Where autumn came suddenly

That I'll never find...

Once the question came to mind Ryo couldn't push it down.  He glanced around himself and realized the truth.

Quickly turning he jogged back to Mia's before he lost his nerve.

And then there's your face, my dear,

And I know I'll never be walking alone

The love in your eyes makes it clear

Telling me softly

This is my home.

"Ryo?" Mia asked as he walked in the kitchen.

"Mia just listen… I've been a fool…. And I just realized something, I love you." Ryo spat out before he could change his mind.  He then searched her face for the answer.

"Ryo, I love you too." Mia said, the truth showing in her eyes.

Ryo drew Mia into a hug and all the while Mia's heart jumped in happiness.

Ryo Sanada would not be moving out.
