"Why!" Isabella wined
"Because we are in a recession. That means-"
"I know what a recession means Delaware!" California yelled
California and Alexander were having their regular argument. California was so stubborn she was the princess, well more like diva, of the United States and always had to get what she wanted and Delaware being the oldest state was trying to parent Cali who didn't want to be parented by her big brother.
"Shut up Isabella." Jacob yelled
"Ariz-" Delaware began
"Hazme!(make me)" California yelled back
All fifty states stopped and stared at Isabella. Now usually two states arguing or even fighting is nothing to be shocked by; however, California just spoke Spanish she hadn't done that since the Chinese immigrants in the late 1850's.
"Que quieres? (What do you want!)" California asked the other states
"Nada. (Nothing)" Arizona said
"Hora no somos los unicos que habla espanol. (We're not the only Spanish speakers anymore)" New Mexico said to Texas
"Que estats deciendo!(What are you trying to say) Are you two Mexicanos trying to say I'm Mexican!" Jacob yelled
"Se la zapato fits then we are." (If the Shoe) New Mexico laughed
"Nothing wrong with having a little Mex. In you hermano (brother)." Texas said
"Nothing wrong? We are American states not Mexican." Arizona yelled
"Yeah!" Nevada drunkenly yelled "We are not Mexicans."
"Nevada this doesn't concern us." Colorado said
"Yeah were not the ones starting to act Mexican." Washington commented
"Well, I like, no quiero hacer (Don't want to be), like, Mexicana." California whined "Heck no, because I've been there, done eso (that)."
"Recibe ayuda for cheap (You can Receive help). Rosa doesn't charge much." Texas said
"De verdad (For reals)? You have totally got to be kidding me. OMG Arizona I'm a Mexicana now."
"What!" Alfred screamed
"DAD!" California screamed
"Yeah dad Isabella is a trader and has abandoned America for cheap labor in Mexico! And Texas and New Mexico encouraged her!" Arizona Yelled "Now I strongly suggest the only way to deal with this is to keep them as far away from Rosa as possible, you know how Mexico can be."
"Who is 'them'?" Texas asked even though he knew just who 'them' was.
"Don't play stupid Texas in less you jock brain is really that small."
"Sabes que- (You know what)" Texas began
"Shut up you Southerner!" New York yelled at Texas the rest of us don't care what you think!
"Everyone SHUTUP!" Alfred screamed "How did this start?"
"Well que sempre pasa (What always happened) in a recession Daddy." Florida said "Delaware trying to teach Cali how to spend dinero pero, (money but,) Cali no quere (doesn't) learn so they argue but…"
Florida then told America the whole story. Alfred nodded his head and thought for a while about
what he had just heard.
Finally he spoke, "Um Cali can talk to Mexico if it saves me money." Then he walked away
Cali walked away and grabbed her makeup; she had to visit her old mommy Rosa.
Alexander sighed, being the oldest state it was his job to take care of the rest. That is why he had been trying to explain to the younger state that the whole world was in a recession and that meant she would have to do her own makeup, but of course daddy let her get away with everything!
