A poem that was inspired by Edward and Bella in Twilight.
Since it's a poem, I do, in fact have exclusive rights to it, no matter where the inspiration came from. Plagerism is not cool.
He watches while she sleeps
Listens to her breathe
Her scent assaults his senses
Scorching him down to his very soul
He's never felt this way before
Is unsure what to do or say
He knows that he should leave
That he could never be good enough for her
Yet he cannot stay away
Can no longer survive without her presence
Nor can he tell her these truths
So he watches as she sleeps
Wonders what she's dreaming
Wishing he could touch her
Afraid that if he does
He'll destroy the life they both hold so dear
And so he keeps his distance
Hoping for a miracle
As dawn begins to touch the sky
He takes one final look
Then steals away into the dark
And in the silence she still sleeps
I have a bunch of other things posted on my account at fictionpress, if you'd care to read it.
