Alright. Here's my attempt at the 'Nonsense' challenge thing at Jello Forever. I haven't written fanfiction in a while. I feel a little shaky :P.

"Hey, Lisbon, remember when we watched reruns of the X Files all night?" Patrick Jane had to half jog to catch up to Lisbon who was just now boarding an elevator. Unfortunately for her, the doors didn't close fast enough.

"No." Teresa Lisbon did NOT feel like talking. It had been a long, boring week due to the fact that their case wasn't leading anywhere. Finally, the case was given to a different team on Thursday. This also left the team with older, forgotten paperwork that found their way on the top of each team member's desk. It's been a boring week.

"Why not?"

"It might have to do with the fact that it never happened." Lisbon gave Jane an annoyed look and checked her watch. Jane noticed this, of course.

"Ooh got a date?"

"No. What would make you assume that?" Now Lisbon was irritated. What was making this stupid elevator go so slow?

"No reason. You were just checking your watch." Much to Lisbon's relief, the doors slid open.

"Of course I was." She muttered under her breath.

"What was that, dear?" Jane smiled cheekily. Lisbon responded with an eye roll. She tried to distance herself from Jane, but he just followed her. Once they were outside, Jane got more annoying and Lisbon...well...she got more annoyed.

"Hey, so when are we gonna have that marathon?"

"Never." Lisbon gritted her teeth. Just grin and bear it...no that is impossible with him at this moment. Lisbon thought.

"Huh. That's interesting." Jane looked up at the sky. Lisbon followed where he was looking, but saw only a few butterflies flying a few feet above them.

"I'm going to regret asking this...but what?" Jane looked delighted. That's nothing new.

"I'm glad you asked. The butterflies look concerned."

"How can you tell that?" Lisbon didn't sound impressed. She sounded distressed. Jane just shook his head.

"You know, you should be more of a flibbertigibbet." Jane said in all seriousness. He kept walking, but Lisbon stopped in her tracks.

"Please. Enlighten me. What does flibbertigibbet mean?" Only too excited to explain, Jane turned around happily. He walked a few strides and came face to face with Lisbon.

"My pleasure. Flibbertigibbet, originated around 1603, means a silly, scatterbrained, chatty person."

"You think I should be scatterbrained?"

"No just more chatty and silly. We-" He motioned between himself and her. "Need to communicate." When he said communicate, Jane pointed to his mouth and enunciated the word. Lisbon stared at him increduously and attempted once again to walk away.

"Ou'reyay reay ymay estbay riendfay." Jane spoke slowly from behind Lisbon. Once again, she turned on her heel and stared at Jane.

"What, may I ask, is that?" Lisbon narrowed her eyes. Jane only smiled. His eyes were twinkling.

"That, my dear, is gibberish."

"Gibberish."

"Gibberish." Jane agreed. His smile only got bigger as Lisbon's annoyance grew.

"Gibberish for..."

"Gibberish for 'You're my best friend'." Jane said sweetly before leaning in and giving her the quickest hug ever. Then, without a word, Patrick Jane walked away.

Okay this can be a one-shot, or I can add another chapter or two for fun. I'll decide by tomorrow after school :D. Happy days. Why did I say that...I don't know. Meh. BY THE WAY: Flibbertigibbet IS indeed a real word. My science teacher taught it to me. And calls me one everyday.
