I played with crayons
Drawing lines; spreading color
I played with paper
Folding the pieces and tearing to shreds

Glueing and Sticking; writing and thinking

All for you, for you and for you
Only for you

I played with balloons
Watch them float, fly away
I played with strings
Tied my paper; tied my love

Because it's for you, all for you
And only you

I dressed in black
All in black, a tie, a shirt
I dressed in mourning
My face, your face- ours

All for you, for you and for you
Only for you

I cried and cried
Right through my eyes
I cried and cried

Because its for you, all for you
And only you

Everyone else looked on and stared, but I didn't mind and I didn't care. If they whisper or not, if they pity or laugh. You were mine, and mine alone, you didn't leave- now I know.

Because its for me, and all for me
And only me

When they said they had to go, I looked on and waved; whether they approve or not, whether they hate or love. I didn't mind and I didn't care.

Lines was all it took, color was all there was. And all I had to do, was finish this piece and all was well.

It's all for you, for you and for you
Only for you

As I cut through paper, I watched as my little hands bleed, but its okay- I didn't mind and I didn't care. I pieced the pieces, I patched the patches and wrote what heart was left- It's all for you, for you and for you. Only for you

I may not be well- 3, 4, 5, and 6
My age, it's raw but I hope you love- or like
I wrote a song, and tied it on a string
They say you left, because you did

But someone said- you were up above
And so I

I played with balloons
Watch them float, fly away
I played with strings
Tied my paper, tied my love

And as I sit here, watch it go
I know for sure- mom
You'll get what I mean

I smiled, I won
And even if I

I cried and cried
Right through my eyes
I cried and cried

I knew

It's all for you, for you and for you

And only for you
