I haven't done anything in a while and I started this a couple months back so I went ahead and finished it.
Now to our feature presention…
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
James was dead.
Those three words were echoing through out Peter's head.
He had watched his friend's lifeless body fall to the floor, and he had done nothing to stop it.
He felt ashamed.
And as Voldemort raised his wand flashes of smiles, laughs, tears, and comfort flew before his eyes and he realized the enormity of what he was doing, of what he had already let happen.

Who would smile with him when he was happy.
James…
Who would laugh even when his jokes weren't funny.
James…
Who would share in his tears.
James…
Who would comfort him when he was feeling low.
James…
Who had shown him friendship.
James…
Whose child's life he was helping to destroy.
Tears fell from his eyes and cascaded down his face.
Avada Kedavra
He realized then that he didn't want to make the same mistake twice.
And he promised himself that he'd die before he let it happen again.
He was running…
Away from his master's side.
Toward the screaming child and desperate mother.
And into the path of acidic green light.
He was keeping this promise.
