1. Chapter 1

Chapter 1

I gotta keep going! I screamed to myself and ran through the forest. I heard a roar and I glanced back and saw the griffin right behind me. I jumped over a log and dodged the tree branches. The griffin screeched and lashed it's claws at me. I ducked and it's paw barely missed my head. Come on! Just a bit farther! I zigzagged through the trees and cursed at my friend that left me a note on my desk saying I had to come here or I would die.

The griffon screeched again and crashed into a tree I just zipped past and I run threw the barrier and the griffon rams into the it and flies around hissing. I stared at it for awhile until it gave up and flew away. I stood up and walked toward the camp in the distance and shifted my messenger bag. I wonder what they have to eat… I tipped my head and trotted off to the camp with a glowing helm over my head.

"Welcome!" A man with a leopard t-shirt and a big belly said and I just stared at him. His gaze turned into an annoyed look and sighed, "Great… another camper thinks I am weird…" he grumbled and a centaur trots over stood beside him and looked down on me and I shifted away. "Hey!" the centaur said and pats my head. I just blinked at him and he smiles, "Come along and I'll show you to the main campgrounds." He motions me to follow and the fat guy disappeared in grapevines and I shake my head, That old man is very strange. I follow the centaur and he leads me to an open area with cabins all around. Demigods off all kinds run past me and some waved at the Centaur. "Hey Chiron!" A black haired and sea green eyed male said Chiron smiled, "Hello Percy. Any good news about the fight between the gods?" He said and I tipped my head, "The gods are fighting?" I asked and Percy looked at me and frowns, "You look familiar… huh anyway the gods are fighting because they think each is trying to take over their territory I believe. It's ok, everything will be sorted out." He said and then stretched. A person waved at him and he perks up and yells, "Will get over here and fix this newbie up!" The blond haired boy walked over and examines me quickly and pulls out a first aid kit and wrapped my arm that I didn't know I was bleeding from. He pats my shoulder and walks away, Percy grabs Will's hood and said, "Now where is your boyfriend?" Will blinks and blushes, "He is getting stuff ready for something?" He smiles and Percy raised an eyebrow and Chiron facepalms. "Kids…" He said and turns and trots back and talked to a few other campers. Percy let's go of Will's hoodie and Will rubbed his neck and gags, "It's nothing dirty!" He said and looks away. "Plus Nico hates physical contact." Will stuffed his hands into his pockets and I sighed, "Do I need to be hearing this?" I said and inched toward the centaur. Chiron looked at me and turned, "Stop scaring the poor kid!" He said to Percy and Will. They turn and shrug and walked off with each other while talking. Chiron looked at me and nods, "Come, I'll show you the big house and the rest of the camp."
