As the moon's soft light illuminated a sleeping man's face, soft hands held his.
"Please, I love you…Just open your eyes, please…" a man's voice whispered in the empty room.
Tears trickled down his exotic sapphire eyes.
The tears reached the young man's hand, earning him a soft groan.
"Tezuka!" he exclaimed as the man opened his eyes.
"Fuji…where am I? Are you alright?" Tezuka asked.
Fuji smiled, "I'm quite alright, Tezuka. And it's all thanks to you."
Fuji recalled the day that they had.
They were on their way to the park but a drunk man was waving around a gun and almost shot Fuji, but Tezuka instead, received the shot as he protected Fuji. Tezuka was immediately brought to the hospital.
"Ne, how about we go to the garden? You might need some fresh air." Fuji invited.
Tezuka nodded and slowly stood up, he then felt a soft hand helping him, one hand was supporting him from behind while the other was holding his left hand.
"You can't stand up all by yourself, Tezuka." a jolly voice said, "Thank you, Fuji" Tezuka said, the said man just chuckled.
As they arrived in the garden, Fuji helped Tezuka sit down on the grass. Fuji was just standing up behind Tezuka.
Tezuka was observing the pale moon when he felt warmth embrace him.
"Ne, Tezuka … iie … Kunimitsu…" Fuji softly said as if it was the first and last time he can call Tezuka by his given name.
"I just want to take advantage of this moment…" Fuji paused as he whispered three blissful words in Tezuka's ears.
Tezuka's eyes widened at the confession, "I'm sorry, Fuji," he began as he held the young man's arms, "But I don't feel the same way for you."
Fuji let go of Tezuka slowly, "I knew that." he said as he too watched the pale moon, "I only said 'I love you', Tezuka, I didn't say 'Please love me too'." Fuji whispered in the wind as it gently caressed his now tear-stained cheeks.
