"Come, Bella," Jake gestured toward the magnificent house we were parked in front of with a smile. I was shaky on my feet, wobbling with each step. I couldn't believe I was doing this. Why was I doing this? I couldn't be here of all places. What if he was here?

I tugged my bottom lip between my teeth and held it in place. I felt like my organs were going to jump out through my skin. Mr. Cullen's secretary, Heidi, greeted us at the visitor's front door. Jake slid his hand into mine and led me after her. I hoped she didn't recognize me. If she did, would she tell?

"Are you okay, Bells? I paid a lot for this private tour. I really thought you'd be excited. I'm sorry that the dude isn't here, but you should really try to make the best of the situation," Jake whispered to me as Heidi pointed to several artifacts within the front hall. A hall I was all too familiar with. I shuddered thinking about it. "I'm sorry. You're right. Thank you for doing this. It's so thoughtful," I tried to smile back reassuringly, but it came across as more of a grimace.

Jake smiled back at me and we continued through the large home, admiring the craft and beauty.

"Heidi? Come! I need you," a sharp voice rang through the sitting room, and my heart leapt into my throat. Heidi smiled and excused herself. "You may have a seat, but please do not touch anything. I will be back momentarily."

I tried to control my nerves. Of course he was here. Why wouldn't he be? Oh, God, what if he knew I was here? He couldn't see Jake, it would ruin everything. After all, it had only been just days since I ended things. "Jake. I think we should leave, I don't want to disturb him," I urged.

"Relax, Bella." Jacob rolled his eyes playfully. "He's probably used to this sort of thing. In fact, if we're lucky maybe we can get a glimpse of him. See if he's really all that."

I wiped my sweaty palms on my dress, the same dress Mr. Cullen had practically torn off of me just days ago. Heidi returned and to my horror, she wasn't alone. There he stood in all is glory and teasing smile playing on his perfectly sculpted lips. Lips that begged to be bitten. "Hello, I'm Edward Cullen, I am so pleased to meet you."

Jake was waiting for me to respond, and when I didn't he said, "Nice to meet you too, Edward. I'm Jacob Black and this is my beautiful fiancé, Bella." He squeezed my hand fondly.

I was so fucking screwed.
