"I was returning home from a friend's party. Apparently, I had a blast and had a drink or two extra, causing me to be unable of controlling my feet, which wouldn't be as troubling if I knew where was I. Also, I was hiccuping all time, for some reason." You tried to recall more of it, but connecting the events took time.
"That's all?"
"What? No..." you hurried, "It's just that I don't remember exactly everything..."
"It's normal for a person to forget fragments of their dreams, (name). Continue, please."
"Umm... I was walking; don't remember where to, though. I passed a cemetery, or similar, but it wasn't exactly a place one would like to be during night. The street lamps flickered, making the situation a bit frightening. One or two of them turned off completely. I looked up to the sky, hoping for something, but all I saw were couple of random stars. However, thanks to the moonlight, I saw a person leaning on the stone fence."
-"Can you remember how this person looks?" You sensed a different tone of curiosity in your therapist voice, but you discarded it, for you have started to become annoyed by the lack of any real interpretation from him.
"No, not really… But, I remember his blood-red eyes as the moonlight reflected in them. He said something like if he could help me and that I look like I'm lost. I asked him to lead me to a street, but I don't remember the name of it. It's possibly the one where I live. He agreed to help me, but only if I let him kiss me. And I said 'Yeah, sure, why not?' I was really drunk or something in that dream.
I waited for the kiss but instead I felt a weak sting of some sort on my neck. With half-closed eyes I looked to see that the man was nibbling on my neck. As he looked up, I became mesmerized with his red eyes and my vision suddenly became rose-tinted, again. Sadly, I think that's all of it, though I possibly followed him to wherever he was taking me."
-"And since that, you felt strange?"
-"Yes, Doctor." You nodded, confirming the statement of your therapist.
-"(name), just call me Vlad. There's no need to be that formal anymore. You've been visiting for quite some time now. Try not to trouble yourself with the dream." A small kind smile formed on his pale face.
-"Okay." You smiled back. "I hope I'm not being a bother with appointments being so late in the night."
-"Oh, no, (name), in fact, I thought it bothered you. Well then, next time."
-"See you next week. Goodbye." With that you walked to the door and reached for the knob. Suddenly, you stopped in your tracks and turned around. "I forget to mention something. Since this, I haven't dreamed at all."
-"That's purely because of exhaustion. You're too tired to think of what you dreamed. Just get some more rest. " Vlad assured you, but no encouragement could make your worries go away.
