Hello fellow LoK fans! Kainora is perfect, yet (sadly) I don't own it or anything else affiliated with Avatar.

Enjoy my little oneshot!

PS: This is set when they are a bit older, Jinora is at least 14.

"But Jinora!"

"No Kai."

Kai groaned as the object of his affections turned her back and walked away from him, robes fluttering in the slight breeze.

All he wanted to do was visit the sky bisons. Was that so much to ask?

True, Tenzin caught them last time. And the time before that...and the time before that.

Okay, so maybe his plans weren't foolproof.

But he was certain that this specific occasion wouldn't fail him. He had tried in vain to convince Jinora to ditch her next training session but she wouldn't budge. So much for telling her.

For the past few years, Jinora had become a part of his life that he would be lost without. The had been through some terrible battles together, but somehow they had come out in one piece. Gradually Kai wanted to be around her more and more, yet every time he talked to her, he couldn't stop blushing uncontrollably.

Korra constantly wiggled her eyebrows at him, and Bolin wouldn't hesitate to make smoochy noises behind his hand if either of the them spotted the two together.

But he liked her. Like really liked her. It wasn't something explainable, but every time he entered a room, his eyes would subconsciously begin searching for her chocolate brown hair, and the overwhelming desire to make her laugh would cause him to do the stupidest things (Mako still hadn't forgiven him or breaking that vase).

And today's the day Kai would tell her. Well he would if she would just hurry up with the new airbenders she was training. He kicked the wall out of frustration, chipping off some paint.

"What's that wall ever done to you?"

Kai spun around so quickly that his feet went flying out from under him and he crash-landed on his face. He airbended a small puff of air to throw himself back upright to the sound of Jinora's giggling. Her face lit up with a smile looking fondly at the former thief n front of her, and for a small moment Kai thought that a bruised face was sort of worth it.

"Dad gave me the class time off. Let's go see the bison!" With that, Jinora grabbed Kai's wrist and yanked him away. As she ran her hand slipped down into Kai's, and he couldn't stop a grin from blooming onto his face.

Totally worth it.
