Octavo Día (Eighth Day)- Jeff takes a walk and looks at the world. He can't believe what he hears and sees.
Jeff had spent the morning doing interview after interview and he was drain. He poured himself into the limo and told the drive to take him to the hotel.
On the eighth day god after so much work
To free tension after looking it over
Said everything is very good, it's time to rest
And left to take a walk in outer space.
Who would have imagined that the same god upon returning
Would have found it all in infernal disorder....
Jeff looked out the window and sees what the city of New York always tries to hide, the poor. The streets were lined with the people of the streets, the drug dealer and beggars.
.... And he would have to turned into another unemployed person.
From the taxes that are annually growing with no end in sight
Since then there are those who have seen him
Alone in the streets wandering around
He walks around patiently hoping for someone
With whom he could have at least a calm conversation.
The limo stop at a red light and Jeff had a good shout from were they had stop at a homeless shelter. He couldn't help but have a pin of pain in his heart, there were children walking into it with there mothers and fathers, and some just by themselves.
Chorus
In the meanwhile the world spins and spins
Without being able to stop it
And here underneath some manipulate us
Like chess pieces.
I'm not the kind of idiot
Who is easily convinced
But to tell the truth
And ever a blind man can see it.
The limo began to go again, they passed Central Park when Jeff saw a newsstand.
"Please stop over there for a sec." He told the limo driver
"Yes, sir." the diver replied.
Jeff got out and looked at the newspapers and magazines, he saw himself along with his brother on the cover of one and on another they close friend Amy. He also saw pictures of Bill Clinton, and Michael Jackson one two others. Jeff sign and got a copy of Raw Magazine and then got back in the limo.
Whether from lack of an occupation
Or from excessive loneliness
God didn't resist anymore
And walked off to someplace else.
It would be perdition
There would be no other choice
Than to worship Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton or Tarzan
It's more difficult to be a kind without a crown
Than the average person
Poor God who doesn't appear in magazines
Because he isn't a model or a star or from the royal family.
Jeff put the magazines down and looked at his watch, in a few more minutes he would be at his hotel then on a plane home. He couldn't believe that he had been in New York all day and had only seen things though windows. Just then the limo passed a church. And just had a feeling.
"Diver please stop over here." Jeff ask , the diver did as he asked.
Jeff got out of the limo and walked though the doors of the stone building, and into a world that so many had forgotten. Jeff sat down in a pew, he had forgotten it to, he look down at the cross he's mother had given him before she passed away. He had just found what he loss so long ago. Even if she was not there in body, she was still with him.
Chorus
In the meanwhile the world spins and spins
Without being able to stop it
And here underneath some manipulate us
Like chess pieces.
I'm not the kind of idiot
Who is easily convinced
But to tell the truth
And ever a blind man can see it.
