Disclaimer: Not mine.
Death is something we all deal with eventually. Some sooner than others, some in different forms than the next person. But we all have to face it. We all have to face our own mortality.
Some, like cops, like soldiers, like firefighters, we face our own mortality everyday. That next call, that next mission, that next fire, could be our last.
Ordinary citizens, they face mortality only when someone else dies. Only when a friend, a relative, a relative of a friend, a friend of a relative dies.
But we face ours every day, wondering. Waiting.
Am I gonna make it?
