So Steven Rogers had gotten his wish. And he was now sitting in a car going to the place he was told would be the place to 'change' him, as lack of a better more 'scientific' word. Steve was never good at remembering such complex words, but then it wasn't like he really had to-he wanted to be a solider, not a scientist.

Next to him sat a nice young man, maybe his age if not a bit younger, named Patrick, though he insisted Steve call him Peg as everyone else did. He had short reddish-brown hair combed neatly, chocolate brown eyes, and lean muscles. Steve may have been short, but Peg seemed a bit shorter then even that of Bucky, but not by much.

Once at his destination, and entering the secret passage, Steve became nerviness, but no where near scared enough to back out-Steve Rogers never turned to run.

As he was settled in the pod that would forever change his life he was to preoccupied to notice who Stark was.

Once the pod opened and he had a look around he noticed a beautiful lady with goggles on near the controls; but before he could comment on it Dr. Erskine was shot-everything went to hell from there...

It wasn't until Steve talked to Peg and he ever so generously offered him a way to get over enemy lines to save his best friend.

That was when he met iher/i again. Stark.

She was flying the plan that would drop him off in the enemies grounds.

Steve had always had a thing for strong intelligent woman. If Peg had happened to be female he had no doubt he would have had a crush on him too. But part of him was happy that wasn't the case, he would have to hate to pick.

Stark, he learned was named Haley, but went by Howard instead. He also found out she was highly smart-more so then any guy Steve had ever met.

Steve jumped out of the plane, he had a mission, and something to look forward to when he got back.

When he was back he had spent more time with Peg then anyone but all he could think about was Haley 'Howard' Stark.

He was even thinking about her more when some random blond chick pulled him down for a kiss...

As Howard was showing him all the shields he had a choice from he couldn't focus, all he could think about was that he really, really wanted to kiss Stark. She had long brown hair that stuck up in some places around her head, despite the bun it was in, clearly from working so much. Her lips where a bit chapped but didn't take away the sweet looking pink plump kissable lips they were.

She had dark brown eyes that sparkled with ideas and calculations. Her body was small and thin, but still strong and healthy. Steve didn't even mind she didn't have the biggest breasts as much as other females he's met.

He was happy Howard was in charge of his uniform, it meant he got to spend a lot of time with her for a good reason-even if he would make things up just to see her.

It wasn't until he was chasing down Red-Skill did he really regret never starting a relationship with Howard-

His heart skipped a beat though when Stark had pulled him down for a good luck/good bye kiss just as he jumped on the get away plane.

Steve would never know just lucky he was that Howard was as smart as he was, because she was able to decode the German plane and bring him home after saving New York...and in the end was able to live the life he always wanted.
