Inspired by a song called "The other little soldier" By Josh Gracin

He was not the type of person to show emotions, but today was the saddest day of his life. As he watched two military men folding up the United States Flag so careful and so slow, fifteen-year-old Colby James Granger felt a tear falling down his face. For the first time in his life, he didn't bother wiping it away.

He felt more tears fall down his face when one of the men walked over to his mother and gave her the flag. He stood up, raised his hand and gave his father one last respectful salute before accepting from another man's hands a medal which showed his father's incredible bravery. He looked at it and just knew that his father had died as hero.

After everyone left, he stood there looking down at the place that was now his father's grave. He fell to the ground, not having enough strength to stand up anymore. He still couldn't believe that he would never see his father again. But that wouldn't stop him from following in his footsteps.

"I love you, Dad. I will always be the other little soldier, no matter what," Colby said as slowly more tears fell down.
