Bored and in kind of a bad mood. Please don't kill me for this… and take it easy on the hate mail I'm sure that I'll be getting after this, nothing too mean…
Jack loses things he had never hoped to lose…
A price to pay
Jack's pov:
I fought against my captors. My hands were tied behind my back, the ropes so tight that I had rope burns from the first twitch my wrists made. Arabella was being held near me. The Black Pearl was being reduced to a burning hulk in the clear, Caribbean ocean. My crew had been burned up in the fire that was consuming my ship.
All because of him.
"You can't do this! Not even I would do something as heartless as this!" I yelled. I saw Bella struggling beside me. He was taking everything away from me. He was taking away everything I cared about.
He turned from watching the bon fire he had made from my ship, my freedom. Without a word, he took my sword from it's sheath that hung by my side. He examined it, then held it up to Bella's throat.
We both froze, horrified.
"No," I breathed. "please, not her too. No more." I pleaded. He just smiled, and ran the cold blade across her cheek, drawing a small line of blood.
"What do you want? I'll give you anything, everything you want. Just name it, but don't hurt her!" I begged. He just smiled again, and ran the blade across the other cheek. Bella flinched.
"No, please. Stop hurting her. I'll do anything! Anything! Please, just leave her be."
He took the sword from her face and lowered it to her stomach. Her eyes went wide in fear. I begged and pleaded harder than I ever had before, although, I had never needed to this badly before.
He just smiled.
Arabella screamed in pain. He returned my sword to the sheath, covered in blood. She collapsed to the deck.
"No, Bella!!! No!! No, no, no. Not Bella…." Tears streamed down my cheeks for the first time in my life. I looked up at him.
"Alright, you win. Shoot me now, please, just kill me now…"
"What ever you say, pirate."He said just before he obliged.
I woke with a start. Arabella sat up next to me, rubbing sleep from her eyes.
"Hon, what's wrong?"
"Bad dream." I replied, looking around the captain's cabin. It was just as I had left it.
"Just go back to sleep."
I took her advise, and let the Pearl's gentle rocking lull me back to sleep.
Surprised? I couldn't just be that mean to Jack, so I made it better.
