This is a one-shot thing, but if it gets popular, I will make it into a story :)

I know I should be focusing on my other story, Pain of the Young, but I didn't want to let it go.

Marcus POV:

Watching the sun fall over the horizon, the birds scurrying all over the sky, to find a place to sleep before night fell and darkened the sky, I missed Didyme more than ever. Because this was our favourite time of day. We would stand next to each other near the window that over towered us, we would stand. Silent. Until dawn approached us.

But then the Romanians took her away from me.

And I hate them, with every fibre of my body, I hated them.

Ever since the death of Didyme occurred, I had sat on my throne and shied away from conversations and words of comfort. I would sit and just think about my memories with her.

Flashback (Before Didyme died):

"Marcus, have you ever wanted to just stand and stare at the sun?" Didyme asked me, whilst we were staring at the sun, once again,

"I would, but I would want you to stare with me" I said lovingly, grabbing her hand,

"I would, just stare at the view with you, but we cant, we have duties to do"

"And what would those be?" Confusion marred my voice,

"We have to protect our kingdom, the Romanians are coming, I can see them" She said in monotony, and pointed towards the horizon, where I could make out the Romanians walking towards us, and I ran down the steps towards the first level of the castle, where Aro and Sulpicia were talking, and they looked up when I barged in,

"The Romanian's" Was all I had to say, and I saw the comprehension on Aro and Sulpicia's face, and they stood up sharply and Aro made his way to me, and Sulpicia went up to the eighth floor, where Athendora most probably was,

"My brother, if we die, I must tell you …" A look of sorrow came on his face "I was the one who burnet you're Michael Jackson cd collection"

"What the fu-" I was interrupted by the castle shaking, and I heard Didyme scream and I ran up to where I left her, but she wasn't there.

"DIDYME!" I screamed in pain when I saw a trail of blackened purple smoke rising from the ground, and the Romanian's chanting around the fire, I jumped out and landed on the ground, to meet Jane, Alec, My Brother's and every other guard, and we charged at the Romanians, and I ran towards Slavyikie, and ripped his head off with my teeth, the horrid metallic screeching coming from his skin, and I felt somebody jump on my back, but I ripped him off with my free hand, and chucked them in the fire my dear Didyme was burning, we had ripped everybody apart, except two, who were running away, and I recognised them to be Stefan and Vladimir. I growled loudly and charged after them, but I felt the cool hand of Aro restraining me on my shoulder,

"They will not come back, they shall be outnumbered, I'm sorry about Didyme, you will not be the only one grieving after her" And everybody bowed there heads down to me in respect and grief, and I walked away.

Present:

Of course since then, Aro had suggested I find a new mate, but I'm pretty sure they don't have any Vampire dating sites, so I gave up.

I gave up on life, love, and meaning.

Marcus fascinates me, and endlessly reminds me of myself, so I decided to right something about him. So there you go.
