Halloween
She's staring out the window
on a rainy night in Godric's Hollow
who knows what will come tomorrow
with the sunlight and the day?
She's tired of this static life
of hiding from a lethal fellow
for a moment lets her hopes mellow
before they're locked away.
Outside is dark and she is not
prepared for what now sadly follows
the lord of dark in her ignorance wallows
he is on his way.
The lord is quick and does his piece
the consequence is hard to swallow
with grief and sadness people bellow
knows not what to say.
Her child survives the night of fate
as foretold by oracle of Apollo
she never knows her son will hallow
on a fateful night in May.
