Wings sat alone in the friendship woods, on a stump. It was where ahe went to think and today that was what ahe needed to do. Wings was a smart young girl but she was troubled, especially today. She was cute and clever and had pink hair, she was charismatic and brave but this did not help her.
"Is something wrong wings?" a familiar voice asked- it belonged to her friend, Halo, who was more clever than she and usually helped her. He was old, wise, wiser than Wings, but he told the truth and wasn't as pretty.

Wings sighed, nodding her head, her beautiful hair waving in the wind. "Yes, there's a lot wrong Halo."

"Well, why don't you tell me?" Halo asked, sitting next to her. "It helps to talk about a lot of things you know."

"Well, I just got into a very good school, the best in Friendship Land," Wings said, sadly.

"Why does that make you sad?" Halo asked, confused. "You should be happy!"

"I am," Wings sighed. "I was. But then my friend told me my parents would be proud. My mom died and I never met my dad."

"I see." Halo nodded, looking up at her. "You miss your parents and wish they could see you achieve so much."

Wings nodded, wiping her eyes.

"Well, the important thing is to honor thy father and mother," Halo told her, "even if they aren't here, you should try and be close to them, and do right by their memory. Even if they can't be with you, make them happy, and do what they would have wanted you to do."

Wings smiled a bit. This made her feel better. Halo always knew what to say to her.

"thanks halo," she nodded, grinning again. "You're right. I should do my best to make them happy."

"Don't worry. One day, you will find your father," Halo told her, standing and patting her shoulder. "I just know it. Now why don't we go visit Doc and have some fun?"

Wings looked up at him, and the two grinned. "that sounds like fun!"

The two headed toward friendship town, Wings now knew what she had to do.
