To Calvary

by Hikaru

Everybody has a burden

Heavy across their back

Everyone's world keeps turning

As they carry their sack.

And even though your world is spinning

And you feel all alone

I know in my heart I'm winning

Thanks to the love He has shown.

Even Jesus Christ, Son of God

Had help as he carried the Cross

Simon, a passerby, was chosen to trod

Alongside the King on his walk.

To Calvary, to Calvary

The hearts of men and women are carried

To Calvary, to Calvary

Where their burdens are laid and buried

At Calvary.

He had been beaten and broken

He had stripes of hate on his back

They gave him a crown of thorns as a token

If it had been anyone else, they would have stepped

off the track.

He told us to be like He was

He commanded us to witness

He commanded us our burdens at His feet to toss

And he asked us to be His evangulist.

So I'll take up your weight

Until you can bear it yourself

Because as you'll see it's never too late

To ask for His help

To Calvary, to Calvary

Let me help you take your weight

To Calvary, to Calvary

I'll carry it until you let God win the debate.

To Calvary, to Calvary

I'll carry you to Calvary to feel His love

To Calvary, to Calvary

I'll help you lift up your hands to His light above.

At Calvary, at Calvary

Feel the love

At Calvary.
