Remember

Jack was just leaving Jamie's after another snow day, probably the last for this winter, with a smile. He stood atop a lit lamp post leaning against his staff. He looked up at the moon with a smile kids had finally started to believe in, he was a guardian, his life couldn't be better. However as he looked at the moon his smile starts to fade and he flies off riding the wind heading to the North Pole. He came in through a window only to be met by a room full of his fellow guardians.

"Hey mate, where you have been lounging around all day?" Bunnymund

"Having another snow day." He sent a flurry of snowflakes towards the Easter Bunny.

"Hey knock that off!" The bunny's nose twitches and he hops away.

"Yeah, yeah…"Jack sighs and heads to his room that Santa had offered to him when he wanted a home to stay at. The other guardians look at each other and then sand man ushering him after the teen knowing something wasn't right. Sandy followed the boy and knocked at his door.

"What?" Jack's voice calls to the door and Sandy walks in with a question mark over his head.

"Don't worry about it…," He makes a small blizzard above his head his mind drifting back to the first time a child ever saw him, he gives a sad smile but continues to make his blizzard. Sandy looks at him then his blizzard and realizes what the young guardian is thinking about and gives a silent sigh as first a snowflake then a snowman and lastly a crown. Jack sees these images out of the corner of his eyes and nods.

"Yeah…," His voice breaks and his eyes close as his tears stream down his face, "I was just thinking of her…"Jack had only ever told Sandy about the first child who ever saw Jack, it wasn't Jamie. No it was a special girl, a girl named Elsa. A princess of a land called Arendelle, and centuries had passed since then but still he remembered her. He thought of her often, and the young women she had become after their days of play time had come to an end.

Sandy knowing Jack wished to be alone patted the boys shoulder and left the room. Once he had Jack grabbed his staff and escaped through a small opening in his room out into the snow and took off riding the wind at a high speed to the land formerly known as Arendelle. He flew high above the clouds looking over the landscape that had changed so much since Elsa had ruled.

Jack landed on a tall tree at the base of a familiar mountain one he'd watched Elsa climb as her escape from the world that had never fully understood her and her powers. He smiled as though he could she the young woman still trekking through the snow finally coming to terms with her powers. He merely chuckled as he jumped from the tree and let the wind carry him ever higher as he looked down at the ruins of her once magnificent castle. He gripped his staff as he redirected himself landing on the windowsill of her old bedroom slipping and sitting looking into the room tears brim the young guardian's eyes.

"Elsa…"he whispered her name as he squeezed his eyes shut and the snow around began to fall harder as he remembered her laughter, the laughter that had made him forget no one else could see him. All that had mattered to him was Elsa. "I miss you." He looked up as he flew away from the place that held the memories of the first child who had seen him and the first girl who he ever loved and ever would love. "I'll be back. I'll always come see you when I can..." He flew to the tip of the mountain where a small stone statue stood of a young queen. And at the base of the statue a bouquet of ice roses appeared as Jack turned one last time to look at the young queen's statue and bowed "I love you Elsa. Always."

And for a moment he swore he could hear her,"I love you too Jack." followed by a light laugh that echoed off the icy mountain made Jack smile brightly.
