Title: Smile
Genre: Er, light sap/fluff/romance
Rating: G, PG for light shounen-ai
Characters: Tatsumi + Tsuzuki
Comments: Er, I wrote this back in April, just a short piece. Part of this was put in my other fanfic, basic idea
Summary: Erm, just a little conversation between Tatsumi and Tsuzuki. I would say this is pre anime/manga, but timeline is anywhere.
Status: Sorry it's so short.  :X  But we need more Tatsumi/Tsuzuki fanfics here, eh?

A smile crossed Tatsumi's features as he entered the room and noticed the form that was currently at a small table, grabbing several donuts and coffee. He tapped the figure on the shoulder and was about to give him the usual morning greeting when he looked into his purple eyes.

Dark circles were starting to form below his eyes and it was quite apparent that they were red from crying. Yet, the Shinigami before him managed to keep a smile on his face.

"Good morning, Tatsumi!" He said with a smile, which started to fade as he saw Tatsumi frown. "Is something wrong?"

"Tsuzuki-san..." He turned away from his eyes, not being able to bear the sadness that was so apparent in purple eyes. "I should be asking you that question."

"Eh? There's nothing wrong, Tatsumi! I'm perfectly..." He stopped in mid-sentence when he felt a hand on his shoulder and blue eyes gazed back at him with worry.

"Your eyes tell me different."

Tsuzuki turned his head away and murmured something under his breath. He turned back to the man standing before him .

"Just a bad dream, that's all."

"About what?"

"I can't remember what happened. It's one of those dreams where you wake up, knowing the dream was really bad, but if you try to remember what happened, you just can't remember..."

Nothing was said between them. An uneasy silence echoed throughout the room. Tsuzuki shifted his feet and put on a smile. But Tatsumi wasn't fooled by that smile.

"Well, forget about it! It's nothing to worry about! I'm sure..."

"Tsuzuki-san!"

Tsuzuki jumped at the tone of the other Shinigami's voice. A harsh look was cast at him and the smile he tried to keep up faded from his lips. He wanted to turn away from Tatsumi's solemn look, but he couldn't.

"Never think that a bad dream is nothing to worry about. It may not show on your face, but it does show in your eyes." Tatsumi took a deep breath.

"Tatsumi..."

"A frown doesn't suit you. Neither does a false smile."

"Tatsumi..." A smile made it's way upon his lips, but more importantly, the smile made it's way up to his amethyst eyes. "Thank you..."
