New future.
She wasn't good with english but she was good with words. When she sang this song, the meaning of the words burst out of her being, creating a light of happiness inside of her. It reached like a hand into her heart and touched her with slim fingers, so softly. She wanted to cry with joy.
"Tatta hitotsu kawaranai mono...zutto egaiteta yume..."
Softly. Gently. Like a whisper.
"Takuto..."
Mitsuki turned around and looked up at him. He stopped singing and smiled.
Her face was red and her mouth wide open, her eyes as big as ever.
"Oi, Mitsuki. What are you spacing out for?"
He walked to her side, looking up into the sky.
"It's not just your song, right? Come on, don't look at me like that!"
She had her eyes calmly settled at his face, absorbing all of him. His face showered by moonlight and his proud eyes. His tender yet masculine figure.
"You...remembered?"
His face got even more pale.
"Mm. It's still unclear, some things. But I remembered what I wanted to." He added, seeing her sad face gaze at him with concern.
"Takuto's face..."
He went red. Her drowsy eyes examined his and he felt like she could see his soul through and out. She came closer, resting her body against his.
"W-what is it? Are you okay? All of a sudden...you..."
"Nn. I'm ok. Takuto's face is just...I never saw you without your cat ears so I never realized..." She yawned.
He looked at her with his mouth slightly open.
"You're beautiful..." She then said, her voice fading with embarrasment. She looked down.
Much to her surprise, he chuckled. With strong arms, he embraced her and carried her in his arms inside. She was nearly asleep, so she didn't protest. He tucked her in and sat by her bed.
"Goodnight, Mitsuki."
He then dissapeared into the night.
