Constance Langdon had always been a brave woman at least in her own mind but today she wasn't so sure. Constance stood at the kitchen sink listening to the maid giggle from upstairs. She felt sick and her knowing that "the tramp", as she liked to call Moira, was upstairs screwing her husband wasn't helping things. Three weeks before the doctor had told her the news. She would be having a baby; her first baby!

When she found out she was devastated. Her body was the only thing that kept her marriage together and the growing baby inside her would only ruin it and her husband would run off with "the tramp" and she would have to raise the baby on her own. Constance would not have that, no sir! "I'll be leaving now, Mrs. Langdon", Moira's sweet voice rang through the solitude of Constance's thoughts. "That's fine", Constance replied absent-mindedly. She was thinking of other things like the doctor who had visited her last week.

His name was Charles and he had promised to rid her of the "little problem". Already I've nicknamed the bastard, she thought. However, Constance knew that an abortion was the only was to keep her husband until the two were ready to become parents. The doctor told her he could perform the operation in the comfort of her own home so as not to cause any unnecessary uneasiness before the operation. Constance had warned him that the business would have to be taken care of whilst her husband was at work during the day. They had agreed to have to appointment the following week.

As Constance leaned against the sink the nausea took over and she vomited. "Morning sickness is a bitch" she thought, "Luckily, tomorrow that problem will be over with".

Constance opened the door to find Charles and his wife Nora standing at the door. "Hello, dear", Nora said sweetly, "How are you this morning?" Constance sighed and allowed them to come in. "I'm ready for this to be over with". Charles touched her shoulder affectionately, "Everything is going to be okay Mrs. Langdon. I am going to go set up in the basement, while my wife preps you for surgery." With that, Nora took Constance to the bathroom and gave her the sedative and Constance was lead to the basement and the deed was done.

Now, as Constance stared at the pictures of her three children with Billy, tears overcame her. "So now you know", Constance whispered. Billy sighed and touched Constance's knee and drew her in for a kiss. "I've always sensed another soul closed to you but I had no idea…".

Constance reciprocated the kiss before saying, "Maybe if I hadn't done such an awful thing, my other babies would still be alive and they would be healthy and sane. Maybe I could still tell Tate he was normal and hug him."

Billy puts her finger to Constances lips and tells her, " No! You had to save that baby the only way you knew how. You were very brave in not allowing your first husband to hurt it with his abuses or let him or her see its father cheating on its mother. You did the best thing. And I honor you for that. Now…kiss me…". Constance smiles, "I love you!" and kisses Billy passionately.
