Lol, first fanfic that I actually put any thought into. I as thinking about the Quote x Curly pairing a lot last night and at like 11 PM, got out of bed and wrote a fanfic, or well, a chapter of one. More coming soon, I promise! ^^
Curly Brace felt weak, she couldn't deny it. She knew something was definitely wrong, she just didn't know how to tell Quote. He looked so innocent and happy, she didn't have the heart to tell him. The little robot was helping Balrog fix a leak in the roof. It had been a few months since they had saved the floating island and moved to a small island of their own. Curly had slowly been getting weaker and weaker.
"Curly?" Quote asked shyly. "Is there something wrong? You've been getting tired more easily lately. Are you sick?" Curly sighed, she knew she couldn't keep this a secret any longer.
"Yes, Quote. I fear something is very wrong with me. I feel weak and tired all the time, and I find it difficult to move sometimes."
Quote frowned. "Will you be okay?"
"I don't know, Quote. I just don't know, let's just hope for the best..." At this point Quote was nearing tears, his eyes already had water in them. He looked so upset, Curly got up and wrapped her arms around him, Quote rested his head of her shoulder and breathed in her scent, his body trembling for fear of losing his one true love. Curly gently stroked his hair and whispered comforting words in his ears.
The following day, Quote, Balrog and Curly went off of their island and went to a hospital to see if there was anything they could do for Curly.
The specialist shook his head. "I'm afraid there is nothing I can do for Curly Brace here. Her disease, though not contagious, is very deadly." The robot specialist said sadly. "I'd give her 2 weeks, max to live before her systems permanently shut down."
Quote cried all the way home. Why does it have to happen to us? He thought, sobbing and shivering. . He cried himself to sleep that night, he felt so selfish showing his pain like this, while Curly was actually the one dying who should be feeling the pain.
