"Astrid, it's time to get up honey!" Rowan, my mother, yelled from downstairs.

"Fivemoreminutesmom."

"No, not five more minutes. Get. Up. Now!" I just rolled over in my bed.

"Fine, if you're going to be that way I'll go to extreme measures." What the hell are extreme measures? "Girls, get your sister up please."... My sisters? No! I tried desperately to throw my blankets off and out of my bed, but unfortunately I wasn't fast enough, because the next thing I knew, two bodies tackled me to the ground, which brought a 'humph' noise from me.

"Ohmygawd, you two weigh a ton. The two of you need to lay off the junk food, or you might lose your figure." With this comment I received two hard slaps on the back of my head. "Ow! What was that for?"

"You called us fat," Janette accused.

"You jerk," Vivian finished.

"Did I say the word 'fat', my sisters?"

"Well, no..." Vivian trailed off.

"Then I didn't call you fat."

"Yeah, but you implied it!" Janette said.

"If I say I'm sorry, will you remove your small asses from me?"

"Yes."

"I'm sorry, Janette and Vivian." With that, they jumped off me, gave me a sweet smile, and walked out my bedroom door. Now to get ready for the new school. I walked over to my walk-in-closet and picked out an outfit that consisted of a black wife beater, dark skinny jeans, my favorite leather jacket, and converses.

We pulled up to North Mason High school in my royal blue Chevy Camaro. Guessing by the way everyone was staring at us as we pulled into the parking lot, they did not see nice and expensive cars often. I sighed, practically feeling the curiosity and wonder from the onlookers outside of the car. Also the excitement from Vivian and Janette who were in the backseat. Looking back at them, two bright smiles returned my stare.

"Rule time," I said smiling, making their smiles drop and answered by two loud groans.

"Do we have to Ash?" whined Vivian.

"I mean really, we've been to what? Fifty to Sixty schools in our three-hundred-twenty-five-years of existence," ranted Janette.

"And each time you make us listen to the dos and don'ts of being around humans, and how to evacuate ourselves from them if necessary." Vivian continued.

"Well if we have done this so many times, why don't you tell me them."

"Fine."

"Don't tell anyone what we are, no matter what," Janette started.

"Always use glamour unless you are around one another."

"Don't dump a human until you have been with them for at least a full week."

"Even though we know everything, don't show off to our peers."

"Finally, if we think anyone knows about us, we tell you right away." With this they nodded to each other and presented me with smiles.

Returning the smile I said, "You forgot one."

Their smiles dropped. "No we didn't! We recited the same thing you say every time we come to a new school!" Vivian cried. I just smiled at them as they started to fume.

"Fine! Why don't you tell us then," Janette practically shouted at me.

"Don't forget that I love you and I want the best for you." My gaze softened and a small caring smile played on my lips. They returned my smile with their own loving stare.

Finally breaking our family moment off I opened my door and stepped out. "Come on girls, it's time to have some fun." They giggled as they got out of the car and my arms went around their waist in a sisterly hug, leading them on.

"Yes, let's have some fun with these mortals," Janette said with a wicked smile. Vivian, who had the same smile with a glint in her eye, a glint that was probably in all our eyes, didn't say a thing.
