INTRODUCTION

"H-Hey...I-I don't think this is a g-good idea." Alphys said once more, insisting that the experiment would be stopped, to no avail. The human wearing the dark shades that covered their eyes ignored her protests, grunting a sound which Alphys had figured out once she'd worked under the human for six months meant: "Shut up." This was how it always was. The human wouldn't talk, take off its glasses, remove their gloves or another thing Alphys noticed; stop wearing shoes that were two sizes bigger than their true size. Now, Alphys wasn't stupid.

Anyone could point out that the human she was working for had a hidden agenda with all the experiments they had her conduct. Though it was her only source of income. Being the Royal Scientist had its perks until it was clear there was no need for a monster monarch, therefore no need for a royal scientist. Although Asgore was helpful, she couldn't just sit around and watch anime and Mew Mew Kissy Cutie all the time. So she took on this, somewhat suspicious, substitute job in replace of her previous title.

It was going well until the experiments became unfathomably risky.

Alphys was forced into doing something she promised herself never to do again: experiment on monsters. This went horribly wrong, and for a moment she thought that was as worse as it could get. Until...the experiment the human had her conduct was dealing with timelines. Alphys warned the human she didn't have much information on the subject and the outcome could be more towards bad than good in doing this. However, the human wasn't convinced. They had her conduct the experiment regardless of what she said.

Alphas pulled the lever that started the experiment. She looked down in uncertainty. "Stage one," she said. The machine shook violently. Soon, red lights were flashing. The alarm to alert when a dysfunction occurred blared loudly. Then...

The door to the lab flung open. Eleven year old Frisk sauntered in. "Mew Mew Kissy Cutie 3 is getting discontinued," they said immediately as they approached the two. "Wassup, scary dude?" they greeted the adult human, then to Alphys. "What's this?"

Alphys wailed her arms while in a river of tears from the announcement, when Frisk pressed a button on the control pad that blinded all of them with a bright, bright white light.

And suddenly, the room was back to normal.

Although it was empty.
