It was a dark and windy night. The wind blew through the alley why that Bolin was standing in making it sound like there was a flute player in the alley, but there was no one there put Bolin.

Bolin walked to a wall at the far end of the alley and ran his hand over it. Even after all these years this play still looked the same as it did that night, as it did in his nightmares.

He sat down by the wall and bowed his head. He did not know how long he sat there not moving when he heard someone coming up behind him.

"Interesting to see you here," Mako said. "I don't think you ever came here since it happened."

With that Mako sat down next to his brother.

"I know I avoided this place like the plague," Bolin said with tears streaming down his face. "This was where it happened." With this Bolin placed his hand on the wall again.

"Today would have been their 30th anniversary," Bolin said, "Instead it is the 15th anniversary of their murder."

Mako said nothing and simply put his arms around his brother. He remembered it all to well. The family going out to celebrate only to be cornered by that firebender here and this alley. He remembered the focus of the flames throwing his parents at the wall that he and Bolin now sat in front of.

"I wonder if they can see us, wherever they are" Bolin said. He turned to face Mako.

"Do you think they are proud of who we became?"

Mako pulled Bolin closer.

"Bolin, I know for a fact that they are very proud of you," Mako said.

Bolin smiled, "If they are proud of me they are definitely proud of you."

At this Mako smiled as well.

"I miss them," Bolin said.

"I knew," was all Mako could think to say.

"Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad wherever you are," Bolin said.

Mako and Bolin sat there in the alley for a little while lost in there own memories of the loved ones they had lost and the thought of the lives they could have had.
