Don Eppes tried but then faiuled to hold back a sneeze. It ripped out of him, making him more painfully aware of his current situation.

"You ok?" Spoke up a quiet, miserable voice. Don glowered over at his younger brother who was curled up in the chair in his living room. Don was occupying a spot on the floor, while their Dad was on the couch.

"No Charlie. Ib not ok! Thanks to your plan to get revenge with water ba...a...ACHOO!" Don's tirade was interrupted by a spectacular sneeze.

"I'm not all to blame! If I remember correctly it was you who decided to play 'let's get dad wet'." Charlie grabbed at a tissue lying on the table as he sneezed yet again. Thanks to a plan by Charlie to get revenge on Don-who had laughed at him when he had gotten sick eating octopus-the three Eppes had ended up having a water fight four days ago. It had lasted long after it had gotten dark and now all three had come down with colds and minor fevers.

"Yeah, but you're the one who had the idea in the first place, Charlie." Charlie shifted slightly in his chair.

"You made fun of me." Charlie pouted. "You AND Dad both." He glanced toward their father who was sleeping soundly on the sofa with a blanket covering him.

"You're still to blame for this, Charlie." Don rolled onto his side-facing away from Charlie. He missed seeing Charlie's slow smile.

"No, Don. Neither of us is to blame. Dad is, right?" Charlie had a mischevious look in his eye. Don looked slowly at his younger brother, then smiled as he pillowed his congested head on his arms.

"Yeah. You know what, you're right. Dad's the one who took us to that stupid restaurant in the first place." Don glanced quickly at their dad, who was still sleeping. He turned his head back to Charlie, a slow, predatory grin stealing across his face. Charlie caught on in a heartbeat.

"Got something in mind?" Don nodded, a gleam in his eye as he glanced back at his dad.

"Mmmm.. yep. Yep, I do." Don sat up and patted the floor next to him. Charlie moved to sit beside Don and listened as Don quietly began to outline his idea. When Don was finished Charlie looked at their sleeping father.

"Think it'll work?" Don nodded. Charlie grinned at Don.

"Then I can't WAIT till Dad get's better..." Charlie stopped as he sneezed loudly. "I can't wait till we are all better." Don nodded his agreement.

"Dad is never going to know what hit him. Now let's get some sleep. We'll work on in some more later." Charlie nodded and both brother's stretched out on the floor. Charlie thinking about Don's plan and smiled. It was going to be great.
