Disclaimer: Star Trek and anything recognized are not mine. Anything you don't recognize most likely is.

This is my first Star Trek fic, please be kind. And even though I've got several stories dancing on stage, I couldn't fight the inspiration. Sometimes new muses are so flighty.

"She's going into shock!"… "Her heart-rate is dropping…we're losing her!"…"I need that adrenaline shot now!"…"Breathe"…"Come on Princess!"…"Clear!"… "C'mon Baby, FIGHT!"….

My body jerked up as I gasped desperately for air choking on what little I could get. I felt hands try to restrain me as I instinctively fought tooth and nail for freedom. Eyes unseeing, ears unhearing, I struggled until a pinch to my neck returned me to that blissful blackness of unconsciousness.

My head throbbed with each shuddering cold sterile breath I took into my lungs. I am only thankful that I am not struggling to breathe like earlier. A pathetic whimper escapes my lips as I tried to move only to find that my arms and legs had been tied to the bed with hospital shackles. Panic fills me the more I try to free myself and the sudden accelerated beeping to my left doesn't help me any. My eyes are bleary from sleep and without my glasses I can't see worth shit anyway.

"Calm down. You're okay, I'm goin' to take these cuffs off." A deep masculine voice spoke next to my head as gentle hands stroked my thick wavy ebony hair, the action brought to frantic beeping to something more controlled. The cuffs on my wrists and ankles were undone with careful consideration as though not to scare me. As I was helped to sit up, another blanket was thrown over my shoulders to fight off the chill and the bed shifted as nice-voice man left my side.

"So, Bones, how's the patient?" Two people-blobs, one in blue the other in yellow, approached the end of the bed and instinctively I squinted in attempt to see. There was a grunted reply before the person-blob spoke to me again. "I'm Captain Ja—"

"Say Captain Jack Sparrow, and I'm not liable for my actions." Interrupting is perhaps very rude, but since I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean last night with Gerry, I'm perhaps a little loopy.

Blob-person one in yellow cleared his throat, "Um no, I was going to say Captain James T. Kirk of the ship Enterprise. That's Commanding Medical Official Dr. McCoy and this is First Officer Spock. And you are?"

"Really, really confused." I blinked twice as though it'd suddenly help my non-glasses situation. It didn't. "And it'd be nice if I could see. Can someone please hand me my glasses?"

"Glasses? I apologize, but glasses have not been used for quite some time." Person-blob in blue moved toward me carefully.

"What? Okay, I don't care about other people's glasses, just mine. I really can't see, meaning all of you are—OW! What did you just—OW! Stop—OW! There's reason—OW! Would you—OW!"

"Would ya quit yer yappin' woman? I'm fixin' your eyes." Rough hands were on me forcing me down and back against the bed. Even trying to slap away the hand didn't work, crap was still being done to my eyes.

"Aw c'mon Bonesy, hurting her isn't going to work. Be nice."

"I concur, Dr. McCoy, it is illogical for you to heal the patient for one ailment only to treat her for another."

"You Fucker! Ow! Listen to the—OW! Captain, before I go—ow! Ape on your ass!" I yelled unsuccessfully getting the Dr. Torture off me. For some reason my eyesight got worse until I saw only blackness. My struggles got worse, "What? What did you do?! I'm blind! You fucking asshole!"

"Woman, do I need to get the cuffs?!" the doctor demanded practically laying atop of me. The frightened tears and whimpers escaped me, and somehow my will to fight left me. "I healed your eyes, th'blindness is temporary."

"Really?" I squeaked.

"If Bones says you'll be fine, trust me sweetheart you'll be fine." The voice of the captain practically purred. The doctor slowly got off me as though to make sure I wouldn't thrash. Now that I think about it, I was NAKED under the damned sheet, for all my fancy education I am so not the brightest light at the moment.

"Dr. McCoy is the Enterprise's Commanding Medical Official, it would be illogical for him to tell you an untruth." Why does the other guy talk like that?

"Sleep for a few hours and you'll be able to see perfectly."

"Then we can talk…by the way, what's your name?"

"Um…Johnny. Johnny Grimm."

Sooo, my first venture into Star Trek. What did you think? Reviews would be wonderful, please be kind.
