This is a story I am just writing off the top of my head. So, it's my first story. Light criticism is preferred (for anyone who actually reads this thing).

The Gold Coin

Chapter 1- School

BEEP BEEP "Ugh" said fifteen year old, Tim Remen.

"Get up Tim," said his mom, "you're going to be late for you're first day of school." Tim hated school (don't we all). He wished every baby that was born just magically knew everything so there was no need for school.

"Alright Mom," he replied. He got up and walked into his bathroom to take a shower. After his shower, he put on a red tee-shirt, a pair of faded blue jeans, and his shoes. He grabbed his bag and walked out of his house after saying bye to his mom, and jogged over to the bus stop. The bus pulled up and as he was waiting for the crowd of kids to get in so he could, and saw something glitter in the grass next to the bus sign pole. He bent over and picked it up, and it was a gold coin with the words "One shall break, one shall heal, and one shall fight no matter the situation." inscribed on it. He shrugged, put it in his pocket and got on the bus.

At school, he went to his first period class and picked a seat near the front. He didn't know why he liked the front seats, he couldn't answer questions if he was asked any. When the bell rang and role was taken, he took the coin out and read it again. "What could it mean?'' he let his mind slip away from his teacher calling his name to answer a question.

"Mr. Remen, if you wish to stay in this class, and not get sent to the office, I suggest answering my questions!," his teacher fumed. This snapped him out of his daze.

"Sorry ," he said sheepishly. The entire class started to laugh. Tim wished he could shrink to the size of an ant, and disappear. He was realeved when the bell rang, so he could leave that class.

After school, he was walking home, (he didn't know why he didn't take the bus, he just felt like he wanted more time to think about the coin) he felt like he was being watched, so he turned around quickly. He saw a man in a trench coat duck behind a tree. He was so scared he ran the last five blocks to his house. Once inside, he shut and locked the door, shut the blinds, and closed the curtains. The coin in his pocket suddenly felt heavier in his hand as he took it out of his pocket.

Thanks for reading this. Again, first story, so please light criticism from anyone who actually reads this thing.
