That's Ok With Me
"Don't you see how dangerous this is for you? You are aware that I could kill you, or worse, bite you if we're not extremely careful?" Remus was pulling at his hair in frustration, trying to avoid looking Marlene in the eyes. "How can you accept this so readily?"
Marlene ignored the pacing man before her and shifted her position on the chair. "Yes, I am well aware of the dangers that I risk facing while fraternising with a werewolf. It's a nice word; fraternising... Anyways, I accept this because, unlike the majority of the imbecilic morons ruling our piss poor Ministry, I don't see a problem with werewolves – at least 98% of the time." She picked up a glass of pumpkin juice – which she unashamedly pretended was wine or champagne - and drank from it. "When they're ravenous, hungry beasts – no offense intended – I'd rather they not be at close proximity to myself."
Remus stopped dead and pulled his hands from his head, where they were running through his hair. It was a nervous habit that made him glad his hair was short and fine and not easily tangled or messed up. He didn't envy his friend, James, at all in that department. "You don't get it. You don't know what I mean. I could've killed someone!"
Marlene deposited the glass on the table behind her and stood up. "Spare me the sob story, Remus. Really – what are you truly worried about? Is it the fear that women will run from you once they hear your past? Is it the fear of being something dark and evil while your friends are all saints and clear in everything? Or is it the fact that, regardless of your spectacular N.E.W.T. grades, you won't get a job in this world due to your condition?"
He didn't need to think about it. "All of them. Anyone and everyone will call me an abomination if they knew. And I know that this thing inside of me is strong, and one day it will break free and it won't be good. My future... Well, it's looking pretty grim."
Remus leaned against the wall and started to slide down it, intent on sitting on the ground and wallow in self-pity, before Marlene pulled him back up. "Get over it! You're a good man!" She ordered him, before she attacked his lips with hers.
"Mar- Wha- Sto-" He tried to protest at first, but he soon gave in and was giving as much as he got. Her curly blonde hair wasn't nearly as messy enough for him to get his hands tangles in it, but he did a good job of it.
"You're so damn stubborn," Remus managed when they pulled away.
"You just sell yourself short," she retorted.
Anyone who entered the room would be surprised to see Remus Lupin and Marlene McKinnon snogging each other senseless. Others – mainly Sirius and Lily – would just smugly collect their ten galleons prize money.
