Daphne Grimm stared in horrified astonishment at the scarlet handprint on her sister, Sabrina's, pillow. She once again cursed her uncanny ability to sleep through almost anything. "Granny!" She screeched, "We have a case!"
Daphne heard her family thumping towards her room, and Uncle Jake arrived first, having not bothered to pull on a dressing gown before racing to Daphne. Granny Relda, Mr. Canis and Red ran in respectively. About 3 minutes later, Puck strolled in completely unconcerned, considering that when a detective finds a case at their house in the morning, it usually means trouble.
After gaining back their breaths back, Jake, Granny, Mr. Canis, Red and Puck said at the same time;
"What happened?"
"Liebling, Are you alright?"
"What's wrong, child?"
"Daphne?"
"WHAT ON EARTH IS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU WOULD WAKE THE TRICKSTER KING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, Marshmellow?"
"Sabrina is missing."she said as a reply to all of their questions.
"Oh, thats ...a different story."Puck muttered.
Granny sucked in a started breath, but switched to professional mode quickly, "There's no footprints, disturbed belongings, or any evidence that anyone was here, apart from the handprint," She murmured to nobody in particular, "Whoever the culprit is appears to have appeared and disappeared by magic, rather like that red ring of yours, Red."
Red said quietly, under her breath, "I did not want to mention it because I thought you had more important this to consider with the war and all, but... it went missing two days ago."
