Yes, another dream fic. I like those as it can really reveal a lot about a character. So if you want read and possibly review. I don't want to pressure you into it, but it would be nice.
Aelita walked down the hallway towards the kitchen knowing that she had a mission to do and that she needed to succeed in it.
Aelita approached her father in the kitchen and lightly tapped him on the shoulder as a means of getting his attention.
"Daddy, can I get a pet Kankrelat?" Aelita asked.
"Why would you want a Kankrelat?" Her father asked. That wasn't a pet most children wanted.
"Odd's parents let him get a pet Creeper for his birthday; lot's of kids at school have pets." She replied. It wasn't actually true though. Odd's parents only said he could get a Creeper if he kept his grades up, and only a few kids at school had any sort of pet.
"Aelita, you shouldn't want a pet just because everyone else has one." Her father replied. "Anyways it's not like you to want anything just because anyone else has one, tell me why you really want a pet."
"I've been sorta lonely since we moved here. My only friends are Jeremy, Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi. I want to get a Kankrelat because I want someone to play with and talk to even when my friends can't be over." She explained to her father.
"Aelita, why don't you talk to the other kids during school?" Her father asked.
"All the other kids think I'm weird since we're Canadian." She was reluctant to tell her father that since she didn't want her father to worry that she was getting picked on by the other kids.
Her father smiled a bit and let out a small laugh "We're not actually Canadian, honey. I just have to tell everyone that." He explained to her.
"But daddy, why are you lying to people?" She asked.
"It's for very long and complicated reasons that I'd rather not talk about right now."He stated. Aelita was still curious but felt that she shouldn't inquire about it right now.
Trying to take Aelita's mind off the matter he asked "So, what were you saying about wanting to get a Kankrelat?"
"I want to get a kankrelat, and my birthday is coming up; so can I?" She asked one more time.
"Okay, I'll talk to Mr. XANA at the pet store and see if there are any Kankrelats available."He replied.
A smile went through Aelita's face as the world faded around her.
The smile was still on Aelita's face as she woke up.
As she woke she realized that for a moment she had her father again. Knowing this brightened the day before her.
So this sort drabble is done. I feel as though the ending was a bit weak, but I'm not sure. I hope you enjoyed this and if you want leave a review.
