AN: Okay, this is my first Wicked fic. It just wouldn't leave me alone, so I wrote it. I would love if you all could review and give me feedback.
"Galinda, I've been thinking…" That was the way Fiyero started most of his sentences these day, and it was scaring her.
Fiyero had always been proud of his brainless ways and his thought-free persona. And now he was thinking. She would have thought that it was someone impersonating him, but no one else could look that good. It was very confusifying.
And he didn't call her 'Darling' or 'Honey' or any of the sweet names he used to call her. She hadn't noticed it at first, but she had started to miss it when they had gone to the Christmas Ball. He hadn't complimented her dress, or her hair, or anything! And she'd spent so long on it!
And when they were eating at meal times, or even just walking down the corridor with their friends, he would often suggest that they could find some place to be alone. (Elphie always scowled when that happened, saying that they were making her feel ill, but she would always go with Fiyero no matter what Elphie said.) But then when they got there he would remember that he had some homework to do, which surprised her, because he never used to do homework.
She was almost worried that he had fallen out of love with her. But then he did some funny things. Whenever she told him she was going on a walk with Elphaba, he said that he wanted to come too! This made her feel befuddled. If he wanted to be with her so much, why didn't he stay with her when they got together?
And once, when they had gone up to his balcony at night, she had seen him staring at her with complete wonderment on his face. When she had asked, he had said that the moonlight had reflected off some leaves and had made her skin look a different colour and that she had looked very beautiful. He wouldn't call her beautiful if her didn't love her, would he?
But he'd been spending more time with her in public and less time with her in private. She had even started practising her kissing skills in the bathroom mirror! It was ever so strangesome. She had even asked Elphie for help but she had said that it was between her and Fiyero, and that she should ask him then she had turned out the light in a very final way.
Elphie was being very particular as well, a lot more moody. Maybe they had had a fight and hadn't told her? Yes that must have been it; it explained why things had been so strained between them. And he must have been thinking so much so that he could stand up her friend's standards. Well she would have to talk to them both about that. It wasn't for Elphie to decide if he was good enough for her. But after she and Elphaba had gone to the Emerald City. She didn't want to make Elphaba upset when she was so happy about going to meet the Wizard. Dear Elphie had even squealed when she had found out that she could go. Elphaba never squealed!
Yes, she would talk to them both about it then, and save any embarrassing confessions and apologies until later. Right now she had to work out what she was going to wear to the City. Maybe she would right to Momsie and ask her for advice. After all, she was going to meet the Wizard, and she wanted to make a good impression.
AN: Please Review. I know it was short but please. Maybe If I made puppy eyes?
