"Ron, I have something to tell you." I said. "What is it, Hermione?" He asked me. "Well, I have a boyfriend." I started, trying to figure out how to tell him. "Who is it?" He asked. "Draco Malfoy." I said quietly. "Who?" He hadn't heard me. I cleared my throat and spoke a little louder. "Draco Malfoy." Ron laughed. "Right. Nice joke, Hermione. Dating Malfoy. What a riot." I frowned. "I'm not joking, Ron. I'm dating Draco." I said in all sincerity. Ron stopped laughing and stared at me. He rogonized the seriousness in my tone. "You're dating Malfoy? Draco bloody Malfoy? The boy who tormented you through all of school? The boy whom you punched in the jaw in your third year?" He asked. I nodded. "But for Merlin's sake, why, Hermione? Why would you so easily forgive that bloody evil scumbag that doesn't deserve to be called a person?" He asked. I shrugged. "He doesn't deserve you, Hermione. Nothing he could have done is good enough to make up for what he did to you." He shouted. "For your information, Ronald, Draco does deserve me, unlike you! He may have been cruel, but he is a changed man!" I shouted back. We had started attracting the attention of others in the common room. "What if he's just using you? Did you think of that? What if this is just some scam to gain your trust then shove you down into a pit? You can't trust him!" He screamed. I glared at my ex-boyfriend. My hand rose on its own accord and flew into the side of his face. Ron fell to the floor, holding his bleeding face in agony. "Don't you dare talk about my boyfriend that way." I said walking out.
