AN: This is the result of my stray thoughts going 'I wonder how a conversation between L and Raito would go if Raito wanted kids.' Sorry it's all dialog but I have no idea where they are so I leave that up to you to decide. Either there is no Kira or they worked some agreement, again didn't know so make your own back story behind this fic, I just wanted it for teh lulz.

"L?"

"Yes Raito-kun?"

"I want kids."

"What?"

"I want kids."

"No, I heard you the first time. What I meant was why would you want kids and how would we produce said kids, if I agreed to have kids."

"I was thinking we could just adopt some."

"Some?"

"Well yeah. If we only have one they'll get lonely because we'll be working all the time."

"Okay let's say that I go along with this, hypothetically, what genders and ages would they be?"

"Well I think that they would both be boys because I would probably feel awkward if I was the only girl in a house of men so just for their sake they should be boys."

"And what ages?"

"I don't want to deal with toddlers waking me up in the middle of the night or young children with unreasonable requests; so probably twelve or older."

"I see. What nationality?"

"Does it matter? I wouldn't really care but depending on where we're living, something that would blend in so they wouldn't be persecuted at school."

"What would you say if I said that I know of three orphans that fall into all categories previously specified?"

I'd say that I would be surprised if it anyone else saying it."

"What does that mean?"

"It means that you always have a solution to every problem that comes up."

"When I said I wanted kids I did not mean your successors, yes they fall into all the categories I specified, but they're not "children", they're mini-you's."

"You say that as if it's a bad thing Raito. And they're not exactly like me."

"Oh? What makes you say that?"

"You don't love them, at least not the way you love me, right?"

"Of course you're right. But what do we do with them now that we have them? I don't think that Rodger will take them back with open arms."

"I think we have to keep them because there's a 99.9 percent chance that if we sent them back Rodger would kick them to the curb."

"Uh, fine. But if they mess with my things I'll kick them to the curb."
