Prologue

The ancient Greek gods of death were always viewed as the "inferior rank" gods. Erebus, the god of darkness was the son of chaos itself. He vowed to show the other gods that the gods of death were not "inferior rank", he vowed to one day take over mount Olympus and lead the gods of death to be "superior rank" gods. Gradually over time he built up his power to overcome Zeus and finally the day came. Erebus overthrew Zeus and led the gods of death to the top. Zeus and all the other now "inferior rank" gods were banished from mount Olympus by Erebus and cast to different parts of the world.

Erebus ultimately became enveloped with the destructive power that he achieved and went completely insane with power. His son Thanatus watched as his father became insane. Thanatus had always favored his mother, Nyx, the beautiful goddess of night over his father. Nyx had always told Thanatus a poem when he was little.

The poem was, "The crimson moon rips through the night's sky, and chosen heroes look towards their destiny, all having different reasons and living different lives, but one thing will remain the same…only the strong will survive". Nyx had been worried about Erebus after he started to go insane, and when she tried to get him to give mount Olympus back because he had already proven his point, he took it as a sign of treason and struck her down right before Thanatus' very own eyes.

Thanatus tried to inform his siblings about what happened but they didn't mind, because they were all promised a fraction of the world of the living to command when their father took over the world. Disgusted at the thought that his whole family had been so corrupted by their new power that they didn't even care that their father had just murdered their mother.

He vowed to destroy his father and take over mount Olympus and use his power to bring his mother back. His father made it so that to fight him Thanatus had to go to the human world and acquire a human body. This is the story of that journey Thanatus went on to defeat his father.
