It is the Seventh Age of Arda. The Free-peoples have grown weary. Though the Men of the West dominate the land with their unmatched pride and expanding empires, they are beginning to lose the luster they once had when the Elves departed Middle-Earth for good. The Elven traditions are kept alive barely by the lands west of the towering Misty Mountains, where a small group of Silvans and their elleth leadership remain, combating the temptation of the Havens and the love of her life in favor of preserving the old ways and watching over the Edain's progress for as long as possible. However, Arda's will to stand strong is fading as an ancient Shadow threatens to resurface with a powerful, unforgiving vengeance. Neither Edan nor Peria can sense its coming presence, for only the Elves are truly familiar with Mandos' vision of an apocalypse. A darkness unrelenting. A true sinner who only ever feigned repentance is about to make his return.
Thuinel, an overseer, a hero, a preserver of the last remnants of Elven kingdoms in Arda, must hasten to reach Aman before Middle-Earth falls into penultimate ruin. From a long, lost weapon buried in rubble to a broken, defeated exile wandering the shores, Thuinel sees it all as she fights her way to Valinor. As Arda ticks like a time-bomb to the End.
