"You're lying, you didn't tell your mom!" I said triumphantly, staring my best friend in the eyes, "You have a dead giveaway. Your head, it pulls to the left when you lie. You get nervous someone's gonna figure it out."
"You can't tell anyone though!" he pleaded with me, "If my mom finds out I bought a sword she'll disown me!"
"Dude, when have I ever betrayed you? Your secret's safe with me, but I can't speak for him," I said, pointing at his little brother who had been following us all day.
"I'm gonna tell mom!" the young child sang as he ran off.
My friend dashed off in the direction that his brother had gone. Smiling, I leaned back on the wall of one of the Renaissance booths. To my surprise, I fell through it!
The wind knocked out of me, I stood gasping for air. I looked around. It was dark everywhere except where I had fallen through. I could see through it but the wall had become solid as stone. I banged on the window-like portal, hoping to catch someones attention. No one responded and it was obvious the thing worked like a one way mirror. Dejected, I turned around to more closely inspect the area in which I was confined. There seemed to be nothing in the room, so i ran my hands along the wall. A few time I pulled back, disgusted, upon feeling a warm, mushy area. Eventually, directly across the room from where I had entered, I felt a thin crack in the wall.
I tried to stick my hand into the crevice and pull whatever it was open. I couldn't even begin to pull before the door, which I soon found to be over thirteen feet tall, was pushed ajar. I cautiously peeked out into the brightly lit hall that the door led to. I saw beasts, easily ten feet tall lumbering down the even taller hall.
