Inside the tower, the Teen Titans were all gathered in the living room. In the middle of their video game, Cyborg and Beast Boy had placed themselves in the center of everything, effectively eliminating any chance of anyone else occupying the couch. Raven had situated herself off to the side, quietly reading a book, hardly disturbed by the occasional yell of excitement from the two in the sitting area, as it was a common enough scene. Starfire and Robin were seated more towards the kitchen, talking among themselves quietly about new attacking moves. Suddenly, the clock chimed 7 o' clock. This wouldn't have been surprising other than the fact that Raven stood up quickly and bolted out of the room.

"I have somewhere to be," she muttered to no one in particular, exiting the Tower. Beast Boy and Cyborg glanced at each other, confused. "What was that all about?" Beast Boy asked, scratching his head. "Not sure, she's been out every evening for the past week." Robin replied. "Huh. Well that leaves me more opportunities to kick yOUR SORRY ASS!" Cyborg yelled. Beast Boy's confused face shifted immediately to excited. "Dude, I'm gonna crush you!"

Raven sat calmly at a table in a nearby cafe, suppressing the anxiety of waiting for her date to arrive. Sighing, she decided to walk briefly outside. As she reached the door she saw a couple kissing by the sidewalk. She looked away, not wanting to stare, when she realized that something seemed familiar about the boy. Quickly taking a second glace, she recognized his appearance.

"What do you think you're doing!?" She exclaimed, slightly louder than she had intended. Of course, the boy was her date. "I..." he stammered as she walked closer, bright red in the face. "Save it." Raven replied, a bit quieter, her own face flushing slightly in embarrassment. She flew immediately back to the tower, avoiding the others and and slamming her bedroom door shut.

Beast Boy was playing video games in his room, almost to victory, when he heard multiple crashes coming from Raven's room. He jumped up and ran out, letting his door fall closed behind him. Carefully approaching her room, he called out to her worriedly, "Raven? You okay in there?" Raven groaned, glancing at the shattered lamps on the floor, the result of her overactive emotions. The last thing she needed now was an inquisitive Beast Boy at her door. "I'm fine." Raven replied stoically, not bothering to open the door. "My powers just overreacted. "

"Oh," Beast Boy said, feeling a little foolish. "I...guess I'll go then." Raven felt slightly touched, sensing his genuine concern about her.

"Actually..." she spoke quietly, but Beast Boy's attuned ears easily picked up the hesitation in her voice. Beast Boy turned. "Actually?" He asked, confused. "Actually...maybe I could explain first," She reluctantly admitted. Beast Boy looked at her curiously, and somewhat nervously. Raven slid her door open and turned to face him. "You're genuinely concerned. It wouldn't hurt to tell one person," she explained, but remembering Beast Boy's tendency to reveal secrets, she looked up at him with an expression that would make anyone nervous.

"Or would it?" she added, watching Beast Boy swallow nervously. He shook his head quickly and gave her time to explain. As she recalled the evening's events, Beast Boy grew angry. "Well he doesn't know what he's missing! You're awesome, hot, ohhh I mean you're awesome!" He covered quickly, quailing under Raven's furious expression. Sighing slightly, she regained her calm appearance. "Well, that's that. You should probably leave." "No, Raven, wait, I'm sorry." She looked back at him, tilting her head slightly. "For what?" She shook her head, regretting the moment the question left her lips. "Wait, don't answer that. Just go." Beast Boy's ears drooped slightly, but he left, without saying a word.
