Hello people, this is an Allenby-angst-poem-one-shot I reposted b/c something happened with the original.

Disclaimer: I own the poem, but not the character Allenby,

Also, constructive criticism is greatly appreciated, so please R&R!

Is this right...

What we do during the night?

Getting away,

Letting ourselves dangerously play.

We're running so fast,

Ignoring the things we've been taught in the past.

Everytime…

We go faster and faster…

Not contemplating the possibilities of disaster.

But it feels so right,

In that moment of pure bliss,

But how can all that come from one little kiss?

At first I grimaced,

Not sure how that single moment might finish.

But then my barrier came down,

And I felt like I was going to drown.

Drown in the delightment,

That wrapped around my soul with such enticement,

Oh, the possibilities, the wonders,

That came from our purposeful plunder.

We knew it wasn't meant to be,

But we wanted to know what it would be like...

if it was just you and me.

We had such fun,

Such wonderful times…

But now it seems our chance can no longer last,

As all the things come flooding back from our past.

We knew what we did,

And yet we still try to keep it hid.

But secrets can only last so long,

Until they are revealed by the blinding dawn.

We thought of all that we had done,

Things that happened from our dangerous run.

We looked back on that treacherous bet,

And then came all of the regrets.

We realized our wrong and all the discord it caused,

Then tried our best to fix our immoral flaw.

You've healed well with time and lover

That forgave since you now see only her and no other.

But I am still sit here,

And though you're gone, to me it's clear,

That she no longer has any reason to fear.

And I sit here where we did once before,

And hope to find something

that will end my eternal love-lorn…
